• Al-Azhar Mosque - Next, drive to Al-Azhar Mosque in Cairo, also known as the mosque of the most resplendent. Commissioned by Al-Mu’izz li-Din Allah of the Fatimid Caliphate in 970 for the newly established capital city, its name is thought to allude to the Islamic prophet Muhammad’s daughter Fatimah, a revered figure in Islam. It was the first mosque established in Cairo, a city now known as “the City of a Thousand Minarets.”

• Khan Al-Khalili - Continue to Khan Al-Khalili, a place that has inspired writers and artists. Najib’s novel “Khan Al Khalili” captures the atmosphere of the old neighborhood, describing it as a long street with intersecting lanes, crowded with shops like watchmakers, calligraphers, tea sellers, carpet shops, and antique stores. Small cafés line the street, with artisans working diligently in front of their shops.
