Gizeh Plateau - Anytime from 7:00 am to 11:00 am or earlier, you will be picked up from Cairo International Airport by our tour guide to start your full-day trip. The Giza pyramid complex includes the Great Pyramid (also known as the Pyramid of Cheops or Khufu, built around 2580 – 2560 BCE), the slightly smaller Pyramid of Khafre (or Chephren) a few hundred meters to the southwest, and the relatively smaller Pyramid of Menkaure (or Mykerinos) a few hundred meters further southwest. The Great Sphinx is located on the east side of the complex. Egyptologists generally agree that the head of the Great Sphinx is that of Khafre. In addition to these major monuments, there are several smaller satellite structures, known as “queens” pyramids, causeways, and valley pyramids.
