• Pyramids of Giza - Begins at 8:00 am with a pickup from your hotel in either Cairo or Giza by a tour guide, followed by a transfer to the Giza Pyramids to start your half-day tour. You’ll visit the Great Pyramids - Cheops, Chephren, and Mykerinos.

There is an opportunity to explore the Pyramids from the inside or enjoy a camel ride around the great pyramids, but these activities are subject to an additional charge.

• Great Pyramid of Cheops (Khufu) - The only completely preserved portrait of the king is a three-inch high ivory figurine found in a temple ruin of a later period at Abydos in 1903. All other reliefs and statues were found in fragments, and many buildings of Khufu are lost. Everything known about Khufu comes from inscriptions in his necropolis at Giza and later documents. For example, Khufu is the main character noted in the Westcar Papyrus from the 13th dynasty.
• Khafre’s Pyramid - Khafre’s pyramid complex includes a valley temple, the Sphinx temple, a causeway, a mortuary temple, and the king’s pyramid. The valley temple yielded several statues of Khafre. Several were found in a well in the floor of the temple by Mariette in 1860. Others were found during successive excavations by Sieglin (1909–10), Junker, and Reisner.
• Menkaure Pyramid - Menkaure’s pyramid complex includes a valley temple, a causeway, a mortuary temple, and the king’s pyramid. The valley temple once contained several statues of Menkaure. During the 5th Dynasty, a smaller ante-temple was added to the valley temple. The mortuary temple also yielded several statues of Menkaure.
• Great Sphinx - Then, the Sphinx - the legendary guardian that stands by the huge funeral complex with its lion body and the head of King Chephren.
• Panoramic view of the Pyramids - We will pick you up from your hotel in Cairo or Giza with a private car. Our guide will be waiting for you in the lobby area holding a sign with your name on it.
