A must-do in Oman - This is an excellent tour to learn about the local way of life in the past and present through visiting authentic markets and beautiful villages in Nizwa and Jabal Shams. We had an amazing trip thanks to our very professional and thoughtful tour guide Saif. He’s very experienced and fluent in English, and gave us insightful knowledge of the places we visited. He’s a good driver too, making the journey up and down the mountain smooth and comfortable, and he knew exactly where to stop for the best views and pictures. The view in the canyon was spectacular! Thank you Saif

Nizwa and Jebel Shams Tour - Kader was an excellent guide who went out of his way to make sure everything was covered in the tour- Nizwa/Jebel Shams/old Misfah/Al Hamra. I walked along the rim of Jebel Shams and a short walk exploring the Old Misfah and Nizwa! I had lots of photo opportunities!

Nizwa and The Green Mountain - We were picked up from our hotel at arranged time by our lovely driver Saeed. We then went on the long drive to Nizwa. The roads in Oman are excellent, though for nervous passengers like myself, they drive too fast and too close! In Nizwa we went to the souk and the fort- both excellent. We also got the opportunity to see a camel up close and personal - which was on my wish list! From here we had coffee then took the winding road upto The Green Mountain, (which unfortunately these days is not so Green) - spectacular views and well worth a visit. Then back down the mountain for a truly memorable lunch, delicious! A quick look around a nearby village with fascinating old buildings and loads of date palms - absolutely beautiful. Then we headed back to the hotel. Throughout the trip Saeed was keen to take care of us and show us everything we asked. Excellent trip!

Amazing trip in Oman - Went on multiple trips with them and can only recommend this to anyone. Much more enjoyable than the actual sightseeing was the tour guide Salim. Getting to spend time with him during the drive gave us a feeling of being able to dive into the culture and belief of the locals. We got to learn a lot more than we anticipated and we felt very well taken care of. Best trip we had so far. Thanks to the team and especially Salim for making it so special.

Jabal shams - The place is very beautiful and worth a visit. I recommend this place. It is also characterized by complete calm and you can watch the stars up close. You can also practice mountain sports, for example, the W6 and W4 trails.

Terrible tour!! Never again Nature Tours. - I don't understand why this dubious company only gets positive reviews!! We were in Oman in March. We booked this tour with my parents. We were traveling with MSC Cruise. I told the company in advance and they said we would be picked up at the gate. That is where we started the tour. It was terrifying!! March is Ramadan and it was over 33 degrees that day. We tried to contact the company for almost half an hour, but no one was there to pick us up. The phone, despite the 24/7 emergency number, was not answered. I turned on the internet and tried to communicate by email. That worked and the driver came to us a few seconds later. I think it was pure coincidence and he was just late. He said he didn't know exactly where to pick us up, even though I had arranged this with the company in advance. Our driver went along with Ramadan completely. That means no food when it's over 32 degrees, that's one thing, but nothing to drink all day, that's something else. The tour was advertised as lasting 8 hours. The journey to Nizwa was 2.5 hours. The driver was very talkative and told us a lot. I didn't know that it was 2.5 hours away from Oman. I thought the idea of going a bit into the hinterland was great. The journey is too far for just a day trip. We couldn't even see everything that was listed for this tour because time was running out and we were afraid we wouldn't be back at the ship in time. As it was Ramadan, the meal in the restaurant was replaced by a picnic in the car. There was cold fried chicken with chips and a warm drink!! Oh, and don't forget the sweet oranges. The cold food wasn't good, that's for sure, who likes cold chips, and the orange made the driver feel guilty because he wasn't allowed to eat or drink anything. In the afternoon we had the feeling that our driver was having a hard time concentrating on the journey. We were afraid he would fall asleep so we had to entertain him and make sure he stayed focused during the journey. How water can help. I wrote 2 emails to the company and told them about our concerns after the tour. There was no reply. I find what happened absolutely unprofessional. The tour is over 8 hours and you can't be under any time pressure!! Next time we'll just go to the gate. There are plenty of taxis there with English-speaking staff. Never again with Nature Tours!!
