• Giza Plateau - Begins at 8:00 am or earlier with a pickup from Cairo International Airport by our expert tour guide, who will greet you with a sign displaying your name. You’ll then be transferred in a private A/C vehicle to start your Cairo layover tour. • Great Pyramid of Cheops (Khufu) - Khufu’s pyramid complex includes a valley temple, now buried beneath the village of Nazlet el-Samman. Diabase paving and nummulitic limestone walls have been found, but the site remains unexcavated. The valley temple was connected to a causeway, largely destroyed when the village was built.

• Khafre’s Pyramid - Khafre’s pyramid complex features a valley temple, the Sphinx temple, a causeway, a mortuary temple, and the king’s pyramid. Several statues of Khafre were discovered in the valley temple, some found in a well by Mariette in 1860 and others during later excavations by Sieglin (1909–10), Junker, and Reisner.

• Menkaure Pyramid - Menkaure’s pyramid complex includes a valley temple, a causeway, a mortuary temple, and the king’s pyramid. The valley temple once housed several statues of Menkaure. During the 5th Dynasty, a smaller ante-temple was added. The mortuary temple also yielded several statues of Menkaure.

• Dahshur Lake - Continue your Cairo layover tour with a visit to the Dahshur Pyramids, where King Senfrue, the founder of the 4th dynasty, built the first true pyramid. This tradition continued in the pyramids of subsequent rulers and evolved into the Coffin Texts, forming the basis of the Book of the Dead.

• Mastaba of Ti - The Mastaba of Ti is one of Saqqara’s most important archaeological sites, discovered by Auguste Mariette. It contains two serdabs, and its walls depict various scenes of everyday life.

• Memphis and Sakkara - Finally, visit Memphis, the first and oldest capital city of ancient Egypt, located on the eastern bank of the Nile. It features open-air masterpieces such as statues of King Ramses II, the god Ptah, the goddess Sekhmet, incense burners, coffins, and the Egyptian calendar.
