- Grand Park (Parku i Madh) - We then escape to the serene Grand Park of Tirana, an expansive green space in the heart of the city. - Pallati i Brigadave - Our journey continues to the Brigades Palace, a significant piece of Albania’s heritage, hidden behind tall cypresses. Public admission is available only during the weekends, offering a rare glimpse into this historic and royal estate. Originally designed for King Zog in the 1930s by Italian architects, this palace showcases “monumental rationalism.” The surrounding 74-hectare park features a church for Queen Geraldine, sculptures, royal gardens, and trees over 70 years old. Since 1990, it has served as the residence for several Albanian presidents.
- The Botanical Park of Tirana - Finally, we discover the Tirana Botanical Garden, founded in 1971 by Professor Mustafa Demiri. - Parku Zoologjik i Tiranes - We explore the Tirana Zoo, situated near the Botanical Garden at the end of the “Lasgush Poradeci” promenade. Opened in 1971, the zoo spans 5.97 hectares and includes lush green spaces, small basins, and areas dedicated to animals and birds. Despite a decrease in wild animals after the 1990s, the zoo remains popular for its gardens and has recently established a center for nature conservation awareness
