Highlights
- Lake Ohrid - Departure to Ohrid Lake, known as the “Blue Pearl of the Balkans.” We take a scenic route, crossing the border at Tushemisht into North Macedonia. The drive takes approximately 2.5 hours.
- Saint Sophia - Continue to the city of Ohrid. Upon arrival, we begin with a visit to the St. Sophia church (PAID ENTRY FEE), one of North Macedonia’s most significant monuments, showcasing architecture and art from the Middle Ages.
- Ancient Theatre of Ohrid - We ascend to The Ancient Theatre of Ohrid, constructed in 200 BC and the only Hellenistic-type theatre in the country.
- Tsar Samuel’s Fortress - Next, we walk to Tsar Samuel’s Fortress, one of the largest medieval fortifications in Macedonia.
- Nativity of the Holy Mother of God - Proceed to the Church of the Holy Mother of God, a crucial medieval monument in North Macedonia, built in 1295.
- Saint Climent of Ohrid - Visit the Church of Saints Clement and Panteleimon, a Byzantine church located on Plaošnik in Ohrid, North Macedonia.
- St. Jovan Kaneo - The Church of St. Jovan at Kaneo is a Macedonian Orthodox church perched on a cliff above Kaneo Beach, overlooking Lake Ohrid in the city of Ohrid.
- Ohrid - After this, we return to the town on foot. Enjoy 1 hour of free time. In the afternoon, we drive to the Albanian border at Qafthana, then head back to Durrës for drop-off. The drive takes approximately 2.5 hours.
- Tirana - Arrive at the pick-up point for drop-off.

Best experience in Ohrid! - The views were amazing, so do guide. It was a perfect trip. Historic places and a bit of relaxing time at the lake. It felt just wonderful. I woul really suggest it, solo or with your group. It last around 7 hours.
