• Tenorio Volcano National Park - A wonderful way to immerse oneself in the culture of Costa Rica is by engaging in the daily life of a local farmer.

Here, visitors have the chance to experience the daily routine of Don Luis Varela and, alongside him and his family, learn about many of the customs passed down from their ancestors, which are now part of their everyday life.

Originally from San Ramon de Alajuela, Don Luis relocated to the Rio Celeste area over 30 years ago. Since then, he has diligently worked his land, cultivating crops and producing most of the goods consumed in his household.

During the tour, participants will have the opportunity to learn about the essential and most significant crops grown on most Costa Rican farms, which are integral to their daily diet.

At the conclusion of this cultural experience, guests will meet the cows and embark on a Milking Adventure. No prior skills are necessary for this enjoyable activity, as Don Luis will guide everyone through the milk extraction process. The amazing and welcoming guide will greet visitors at the entrance of Tenorio National Park or at the designated meeting point. Guests will have the opportunity to meet Luis Varela, the owner of an impressive entrepreneurial venture. Visitors will immerse themselves in local traditions on a Costa Rican farm, engaging in activities such as grinding sugar cane and feeding farm animals like cows, chickens, dogs, and cats.
