Poas Volcano National Park - Transfer from Alajuela to National Park 1 hour.
Poás Volcano National Park:
You will walk 20 minutes going and 20 minutes going back, to the Poás Volcano crater look at and you will have 20 minutes to appreciate it and take photos, I will bring you the historical information, besides there is a souvenirs and Cafe when we willow go back to the principal building.
In case that you can’t walk to the look at, there is ambulance service.

La Paz Waterfall - Transfer from Poás Volcano to La Paz Waterfall: 45 minutes, 30 minutes in the Waterfall, transfer from there to the coffee farm 45 minutes.
We will visiting this amazing waterfall, it got 5 different points of view, including to be behind this Waterfall, great for photos sessions.

Do(nt) go chasing waterfalls - Alvaro is very passionate at what he does and it shows! He was very knowledgeable with the history of the Poas Volcano & La Paz Waterfall. He put a lot of planning into this tour, unfortunately we could not see the crater in the volcano because of its activity but he still made it a great trip.

Like a custom tour! Patient and accommodating! - Alvaro was fantastic. Unfortunately, we chose a cloudy day to go, and even though we went early as recommended, we did not see the lake/crater. Alvaro did everything he could to get us a glimpse of the volcano - waiting a long time in hopes that the clouds would clear a bit. He made our trip special even though we were not able to see it, taking us to other places and enjoying a coffee with us at the Starbucks farm. Thank you Alvaro! I would 100% recommend using him as a tour guide, not only for the volcano, but message him for other custom tours too!

Great day, awesome guide!!! - We had an amazing time today. Unfortunately it rained and we couldn't see the Crater or lake through the clouds, but Alvaro made the day wonderful anyway. He patiently waited almost an hour at the volcano in hopes that the clouds would burn off, keeping us entertained by his vast knowledge of the area and history. We stopped at shops and tried various products from the area and, of course, had a great photo shoot behind and around La Paz falls. Thank you for a wonderful day! We will book this and other tours with him again soon. Highly recommend!!!

Last Minute Trip - I found Alvaro through Trip Advisor and messaged him with questions about the tour. Honestly it was the absolute best decision I could have made. The process was seamless, and Alvaro is truly amazing. The day of the tour he met us and took us to Poaz Volcano and La Paz Waterfall. He was knowledgeable and an all around amazing Tourguide! My husband and I can't recommend him enough! If you're in Costa Rica and you want a professional tour guide, you won't go wrong with Alvaro!

My own, private volcano - The tour took us to the Poas volcano, and the timing had us there before anyone else, giving us a special, almost private view. We were shown very special, lesser known vantages to experience the La Paz Waterfall. Our guide was very knowledgeable and was able to navigate us easily past the crowds. I enjoyed entering about this day. Highly recommended.

Magnificent experience! - I loved my experience with Alvaro! He is super friendly and very easy to chat with. Before the excursion, he quickly answered my many questions. It is a mine of information concerning the Poas Volcano and the surrounding area. He knew exactly when to direct us towards the volcano and it was a success! We had a 30 minute window to view the cloudless crater and we were there at the right time! Afterwards, we stopped for dinner at a very delicious and affordable restaurant. He even provided me with very practical information for the rest of my trip. I would do an excursion with him again without hesitation!
