Doka Estate Costa Rica Coffee Tour & Plantation - A day filled with the aroma of coffee will be our reward as we visit the largest coffee plantation in Costa Rica, known as the Hacienda Doka estate, located on the slopes of the Poas Volcano.
Visiting this Doka coffee plantation will allow you to learn everything about the process and good practices related to this crop, as well as on our tour of the coffee farm we will observe its machinery and discover the step by step of seed germination for the first cultivation of the plants, the development process of the plant and up to the point of harvesting the mature grain, we will also learn about the history of the farm, the production and varieties of coffee plants, the geography of the area and the traditional way of cultivating the coffee bean, it is very important to note that being in the natural and cultural environment of this coffee plantation will make you want to enjoy an exquisite cup of coffee while having an exquisite typical Costa Rican breakfast.

Recommended as a one-day tour from San José - A tour of the sights efficiently with our very friendly guide Mario.
The coffee plantations, volcanoes and waterfalls were all places to see and were satisfying.

A great day with a great guide - My wife and I had a great time. We were picked up at our Airbnb at 6:25 exactly. Mario, the guide, was already waiting for us outside. Mario is a great guide he was fun, engaging, informative, and patient with us. He really made the whole experience great. He even gave us recommendations in San Jose for dinner. We started at the Doka Coffee plantation and then went to the volcano and saw the crater. Mario was trying to time our climb to get there as the fogged clear and it turned out that he timed it perfectly. He also recommended great spots for photos. After the volcano we went to the waterfall and saw the animals and vegetation. We really enjoyed it and can’t recommend it enough. Well worth the money in my opinion.

Excellent way to comfortably explore the beauty of Costa Rica - Wonderful experience from our amazing & knowledgeable guide to the food, and beautiful scenery. Attended solo and would most definitely do it again!

Great tour - Tour was great weather was bad. Even still had a great time and the guide was excellent. The falls are very nice as is the whole area.

Awesome experience!!! - Awesome experience!! Ronnie was an amazing guide. I learned a lot about Costa Rica, its people, and its animals. Just know traffic coming back around rush hour will be crazy and it’s a full day, but it’s ABSOLUTELY worth it! Would absolutely recommend!

It is worth repeating - Good tour, Ronny enthusiastic Guide, who wanted and could tell a lot about Costa Rica. Beautiful places, sun at Doka, clouds at Poas, but enough moments to see the crater well and despite some rain in La Paz, the falls were all the more beautiful because of it. Nice experience. Even the traffic infarction around San Jose on the way back is an experience, which is fine to experience, because we were nice and warm and dry. And hats off to Ronny's Costa Rican driving.

Highly recommend! - The volcano was one of the best things I’ve ever seen! You could hear the hissing and smell the sulfur. Took a separate path to a beautiful crater lake. The breakfast at Doka and lunch at Peace Falls were good selection and tour guide Ronny was lovely and informational

Great Excursion - jam packed! - This was a great excursion! Jam packed. Our tour guide Was from Marbella Tours and did an awesome job at each stop. The coffee plantation was great - we ate breakfast and drank coffee and then did a tour of the plantation and how coffee is processed. The Poás. Volcano was an experience I patience to wait for the smoke to clear which it did a few time so we could see into the crater and that clearance didn’t take long. Due to the gases we could only stay there for 20 minutes which was more than enough time. It’s a half mile hike up to the crater so prepare for that. Not bad at all. The. On to the La Paz Waterfall Garden. The animals and butterfly garden was nice. The waterfalls were spectacular. It’s wet on the walk down so proper shoes are important. Have fun so worth it. Breakfast and lunc Lhasa are included. Enjoy!
