Visitors are offered the unique opportunity to swim in the beautiful natural pools of the Celeste River, an activity that is not allowed and unavailable in the national park. Without the hassle of waiting lines or overcrowded tourist spots, this isn’t a standard commercial tour. Tourists will enjoy a personally-crafted tour led by a local guide and proprietor.

1/2 Mile Northwest from Station El Pilon Tenorio National Park (waterfall entrance) in the Guatuso direction, then turn left in the grave road continue 1/2 mile turn left in front of the local School and continue 1/2 mile on left side before the La Posada Rest and Hotel

Horseback riding to swim Rio Celeste - Of all of the activities we did around Lake Arenal this excursion was one of my family’s favorites! David was an excellent guide and made the hour and a half trip from La Fortuna worth it. We made great memories and highly recommend!

An amazing adventure with David. - David was an amazing guide. We had lots of fun. Would do it again anytime.
It started raining in the middle of the tour which made the adventure even more exciting.

Nice horse riding - The tour was very nice, despite heavy rain. The horses are very reliable and the spot at the river is very beautiful. Very nice restaurant at the pick up point / highly recommended.

For adventurous people - It’s little bit of ride from La Fortuna, but the activity was adventurous and lots of fun. took back road and spent additional 30 min on rocky rd, try La Fortuna (4) road only to save time(we did in return).

Kids favorite excursion - My two daughters (ages 6 & 10) LOVED this excursion and immediately wanted to do it again. David, our host, was so wonderful and thoughtful . Highly recommend for any horse-loving kids and adults alike!

Horse riding, swinging, and swimming in the blue river - We were a group of 6 (three couples) and had a great time. The family’s property is awesome and the drinks beforehand that we bought were delicious. The tour consisted of riding down steep trails in the forest down to a swing. After swinging, we continued down to the blue river and had a great time swimming and rock jumping. It was simple but relaxing. I would recommend it!

Must see! - Obviously, the river was amazing. There was another family there on a tour when we arrived, but they left soon after so we had the river to ourselves. Our favorite was the Tarzan swing. We weren’t quite sure what to expect, but it was amazing. Even my six-year- old begged to have extra turns to fly out over the jungle!

Amazing!! - David and his brother made this experience so much fun and safe. I definitely recommend this activity even if is you first time riding a horse. They will guide you but you can tell they train and take care of their horses.
