Great experience on naturalist walking tour - A huge shout out to Trinidad for helping my friend & I to plan our trip. Jade was a great tour guide . We joined a Dad & his adult son on this easy walking tour as Jade described the local plants the Inuits used for survival. My favorite was the pumpkin berry that tasted like a sweet pea. Jade also passed on stories of the area as well. The best is having a small group since it was easy to hear Jade , ask our questions & partake of nature's "goodies".

Educational Nature Hike. Easy and very informative hike that started at the visitor center and wound through nearby woods. - This was an easy hike where we learned about the flowers, trees, animals, geology, and history of the area while enjoying occasional views of the local mountain range. Jade was very knowledgeable and had an easy-going personality that made me feel comfortable asking lots of touristy questions. Jade was also very patient as I took many photos of the scenery, and he responded to my various questions. FYI, this is not an adventure hike. It is an easy walk on established trails near the visitor center. Definitely recommend this hike for those who want to understand how the various parts of the ecosystem mesh together in Denali. Bonuses included a hotel pickup, water, and a snack.

Treasure trove of information about the Denali area! - This hike was beautiful and we loved what we learned about the plant and animal life. It gave us an appreciation of how incredible nature is and the uniqueness of this area. Jade’s knowledge and obvious enjoyment of nature made the experience all the better!

A great time in the great outdoors! - My mom and I had a wonderful time hiking with and learning all kinds of things from our guide Jade! 10/10. Details below! Our hotel was outside the pickup area, so Sam from the company reached out the day before to set up a meeting spot and time, which worked out perfectly for everyone. Then, when we were in the van on our way to pick up others, I mentioned that my mom was very nervous about heights or cliffs, and Jade was so kind to accommodate my mom’s fears. He immediately changed his original planned route (which would have been over a couple bridges) to an equally beautiful trail that did not have any bridges or drop offs that would scare my mom. My mom and I loved learning about all the nature around us, from the trees, to the edible berries and plants, and the animal signs. Of course, wildlife sightings can’t be guaranteed, but we did see (and hear) plenty of squirrels and a ptarmigan! And it makes me smile every time I spot something I learned about on the trails I’ve hiked since!

First Time Visitor Must Do - We really enjoyed our guided walk with Jade. It was super interactive and immersive and we felt really safe walking with an expert. The walk was not strenuous and we had lots of stops to try berries and learn about native plants and trees. This was the best tour we did in the Denali/Fairbanks area.

The views were nice. - It was a nice day and Sam was pretty knowledgeable of the surroundings. Would have expected to take a different route back so not to see the same thing twice.
