A poignant and well presented tribute - A poignant tribute to the many troops for whom Albany was the last port of call on their way to the horrors of the First World War in the far off Middle East and Europe, with panoramic view of King George Sound in which the convoys assembled. The displays were diverse, interesting and very well presented and a nice touch was to give each visitor a card with the name of soldier whose journey through the War and afterwards could be followed as you made your way through the exhibits.

We stand on the shoulders of those who went before us to restore peace. - I thought I knew a lot about the ANZAC legendary men and women. There was a lot to learn especially when following a person. The technology is awesome👌 Being on the very site where 41,000 Aussies and New Zealonders left for World War 1 by ship is amazing. Being part of the Albany Heritage Precint places you in good position to enjoy a still living history.

Worth a visit - Recently toured the National Anzac Centre and found the experience informative and inspiring. What a great public investment!!! It is important that we never forget the sacrifice that those young men and women made at Gallipoli. It is not about promoting war and conflict but about honouring the service and contribution of those brave young souls. The displays, static and interactive, were first rate. We spent 2 hours there and thought it immensely worthwhile. Well done to all those that helped established this Centre…….and it is appropriate that this facility is in the City from where the young soldiers and others were sent.

Fantastic concept, building, multi-media, interactive and audio displays. - This centre was opened in 2014 and sits perched on the side of Mount Clarence yielding stunning vistas of King George Sound. In fact the building cantilevers out over the side of Mount Clarence. Concessional entry was $21 per person and we were each given a card of an Anzac who you could follow, through placing the card on various interactive card readers located at different places throughout the centre, from their enlistment, through their participation in various fields of combat and following the war, provided they were not killed. In this way the Centre seeks to commemorate the war through the stories of ANZACS. Exceeding well done and highly recommend a visit.

Do not miss visiting this site - Well set out centre great to be involved with the person you get to follow through the centre upon entry. The displays are fantastic and if you are not very knowlegable about war time you will leave here understanding more. Outside the grounds are beautiful and so much more to read and learn not to mention the view from the top.

Exceeded expectations - We arrived with high expectations and those expectations were exceeded by the quality and presentation of the displays. This and the adjoining fort are an important part of our history that must be preserved for future generations.
