Superb - Very good complement to the visit of the memorial of Peronne, it is ideal to start the beginning of the circuit of remembrance! If you stop in front of each sign and take pictures, it takes 1h30 of visit (with the viewing of the small film at the entrance). Beautiful reconstructions, beautiful Collections of weapons and objects dug up over the years. Very nice garden outside. A must-see site for all those who visit the Memorial Circuit. Be careful, do not forget to take a sweater even in summer.

Outstanding - This is definitely worth a visit. The museum is basically in the tunnels under the church and you finally exit a few hundred yards away. There is so much to see. The information is easy to read and the exhibits were well maintained. Unfortunately we were just ahead of a coach party of French OAPs who seemed disinterested in the museum but just wanted to plough through the end. No matter, we stood our ground and enjoyed the visit!

Nice and clear overview of the war talks on the Somme - Museum about the battle of the Somme, set up in the shelter realized in the 2nd world war. Clear - multilingual - information about the course of the war based on the different nationalities that participated. For me, for example, a new insight into the participation of China. Recommended (if you are in the area).

Educational and impressive - Impressive and beautifully designed museum. You can download an app that gives you more information as you walk through the underground passages. Since the Netherlands was neutral during WW1, unfortunately little is told in the history books at school. This museum is very educational and quiet.

Great value. - It's reasonably small, but pretty good and great value for money. You walk underground, which gives it an authentic feel. Then you watch a video which sets everything up and also gives you a feel for other places in the area to go and see. You walk through the tunnels, there is a lot of information in several languages, artefacts from the time of all varieties, and recreations of trench scenes. Finally you walk through an experience of lights and noise to recreate the feeling of war - not for the epileptics or nervous. I would recommend heading for the Canada memorial, also the Scottish highlanders memorial, to see some of the trenches 100 years later, as well as Le Grande Mine.

Nice informative museum - Very nice low key museum with a good video and lots of artefacts. It’s set out under the church in a series of tunnels. An hour or so well spent as an introduction to the Somme.

It was ok….., - Wasn’t my favourite museum we visited in the area. You enter downstairs to underground tunnels which are unique but a bit damp/smelly. Lots of memorabilia but not as well labelled or as well kept as other museums. I didn’t enjoy being underground so moved through quite quickly. There is a section at the end where you travel through a dark tunnel ‘under fire’ my 9 year old found this a bit much. You exit through a lovely park in the centre of Albert.
