Constructed in the 14th century under the orders of King James II of Mallorca, these walls were built to defend the town against pirate raids and other threats. Stretching nearly 1.5 kilometers, the walls once encircled the entire town, with 26 towers providing strategic viewpoints. Today, walking along these ancient fortifications, you can imagine the watchful guards of centuries past, protecting the town’s inhabitants.
