• Montazah Gardens - Guests will be picked up from their hotel in Cairo and transported to Alexandria. The tour begins with a visit to Montazah Palace Gardens, the royal gardens of King Farouk, Egypt’s last king. Visitors can take photos at King Farouk’s royal palace and explore the queens’ royal beaches.
• Stanley Bridge - On the way, the tour will pass by the famous Stanley Bridge, a modern landmark symbolizing contemporary Alexandria.
• Bibliotheca Alexandria - The next stop is the library of Alexandria, the largest library in the world, housing 8 million books. Guests will visit the President Sadat Museum and the open court, where they can view statues of Alexander the Great and Ptolemy the First, discovered underwater nearby. The guide will explain the library’s exterior design, and there will be opportunities for photo stops. Note: The Alexandria library is closed on Fridays, Saturdays, and public holidays. A ticket is required to enter the reading area.
• Mansheya - The tour continues through Mansheya’s oldest market area, featuring traditional women’s markets (zan’et etsetat) with narrow streets, and a gold market where people purchase wedding and engagement jewelry.
• Alexandria Unknown Naval Soldier Memorial - The tour will pass by the Unknown Soldiers Memorial.
• Mosque of Abu al-Abbas al-Mursi - Guests will be transported to the city’s largest and most beautiful mosque, with a photo stop at the Abbo Elabbas Mosque.
• Kayetbai - Across from the corniche and old harbor, visitors can see old fishing boats, fishermen, and traditional net-making. This location offers fantastic photo opportunities. The tour will continue to view the exterior of Quaitbay Castle, built on the site of the ancient Lighthouse of Alexandria, one of the seven wonders of the ancient world. This spectacular castle is an excellent photo stop.
• Saint Mark’s Coptic Orthodox Cathedral - The tour will proceed to visit St. Mark’s Church, the oldest church in Africa.
• Ancient Roman Amphitheater - Guests will visit the Roman Amphitheater of Alexandria, showcasing the sunken monuments of Alexandria discovered under the East harbor.
