We had a lovely day with... - We had a lovely day with Waleed in Alexandria. Alexandria is a city rich in history and culture and Waleed has a wealth of knowledge about his city. In our day tour we were able to cover all the major sites. We were in Alexandria for 2 nights, but the 1st night was a wash because our flight arrived in Cairo in the afternoon and we ended up arriving in Alexandria in the evening. I recommend 2 full days in Alexandria. Our time in the library didn't allow us to go inside the reading area and our time in St. Mark's Cathedral was very brief. I now have an excuse to go back to Alexandria to spend more time at these sites and to visit my friend Waleed.

Great experience - Karim our tour guide was excellent. He showed us many sides of Alexandria, besides the items on our list, like the different neighborhoods. His explanation of the Jewelry Museum and the Roman-Greco Museum were very understandable.

Excellent day tour of Alexandria! - Shaimaa was an excellent guide and showed us all around Alexandria. After listening to her knowledge of the city, we really felt like we were able to understand large amounts of the history of the city! She was also very kind and patient, answering questions and asking about us in return. She also knows a great spot for mango juice! We would highly recommend her to anyone wanting a tour of Alexandria.

Friendly City - The was definitely a full day tour. The drive was long but nice we met with our guide it went by much faster. If you want to see inside the library avoid Fridays, because it will be closed.

The perfect way to experience Alexandria - The perfect way to see the key sights in Alexandria, with our guide Nessrin (and driver). The main attractions are quite a long way from each other, and some of them are hidden away so a car is essential.
In the course of one day we visited the royal palace gardens, Alexandrian bibliotheca, catacombs and roman theatre, Coptic church, mosque complex and fort Qaitbay.
Thoroughly recommend, especially if you are short of time.

Alexandria - the Great!! - Our day tour of Alexandria was fabulous! We had the opportunity to see the highlights of the city and learned so many things along the way. Our guide Karim was very knowledgeable about his city. We even waved to his university professor driving by!!
Karim was very friendly, engaging, and open to answering our deluge of questions You can tell he is highly respected in his field as he met with many colleagues throughout the day who were very happy to stop and say hello
We were glad to have selected the all day private tour. - Allowing us time and flexibility to get to all the major sites and not feeling rushed or delayed while doing so
We enjoyed a delicious lunch of sea bass with all the local trimmings - I would love to get that recipe!
Our diver Ibrahim was safe and courteous
All in all we passed a Great day in Alexandria!

A day packed full of attractions - We book our full day excursion through Rammaside tours which was easy. The company message me and asked out any dietary requirements and gave me the name of our tour guide. The day before they messaged again to say the pick up time changed and we had a different tour guide.
We were collected from our hotel and drove to Alexandria. We were very grateful for the air conditioned mini bus. Driving in Egypt is like nothing I’ve ever experienced and not for the faint of heart.
We were met by Shaimaa, she was very good and knowledgeable. The day felt a little rushed but then we did visit a lot of places. I really enjoyed the catacombs and their history.

Great tour guide, nice way to see Alexandria if you're there - -Poverty-ridden city, so manage your expectations (dirt and trash everywhere, underfed animals everywhere, occasional animal cruelty, flies and dirt on raw meat hanging at restaurants, different gender social norms, etc.)
-Mohammed was a very interesting, educated, and informative guide. He really knew his information and seemed excited about sharing it. He was funny and made the trip interesting.
-The tour company changed our meeting time last minute to an hour early, which was pretty frustrating, as we are not glued to our phones on an international vacation (and did not want to start an hour early, hence our decision to book at the time we did).
-The meeting location was very confusing. The port took a few minutes of walking to get out of and the meeting spot was not accurate, so we had to call the tour guide to find out where to meet. There also wasn't clarity on how many people could be on the tour and the bus was very small for the number of tourists they booked.
-the tour company offers different options for different costs, such as viewing the manuscript room in the library and eating lunch. Frustratingly, everyone was grouped on the same bus regardless of what they had booked, so those who did not book the extras had to linger without a guide and waste time while he took care of the manuscript room and meal.
-the tour spots (Roman ruins, catacombs, modern Alexandria library, castle in the spot of the previous lighthouse of Alexandria, and a mosque that had previously been a church) were each interesting and informative
-Egypt has different social norms than many parts of the world, so it would have been helpful for the tour company and tour guide to explain ahead of time…for example, you can’t go to the restroom without needing to pay someone at the door and the mandatory shoe removal also required paying the man who did nothing but put our shoes in a cubby and hand them back (without us wanting him to do it). We had no small bills prepared to pay these people and therefore had to grossly overpay for these non-valuable services.
-Make sure you wear socks, as you have to take your shoes off at the mosque. And women have to wear a headscarf, so bring your own or you will have to borrow one from the mosque.

Informative tour of Alexandria - Very knowledgeable and engaging tour guide Mohamed. The Catacombs, Roman Theatre and the Bibliotheca were highlights. Booked the full day tour (9am pickup and 5pm return), but we were informed via WhatsApp the day before that our tour was changed to 8am pickup and 3pm return. Itinerary was changed without prior notice. Some places on the original agreed itinerary were not visited (Stanley Bridge and Montazah Palace Gardens). Tour did not leave the port until 845am as some guests were not aware of the change to the pickup time. A suggestion would be to include a visit inside the Qaitbay Castle to the itinerary.
Transport was a minibus (seated 18). Tour information on TripAdvisor stated the transport would be a private car. We learnt that “car” is used to describe a minibus in Egypt. Lunch was at Branzino seafood restaurant. The fish was very good. The salad and dips were fresh. Vegetarian meal was not good (pasta with tomato sauce and chips).
Communication at time of booking via email and WhatsApp was very good.

This company is a scammer DO NOT USE - The trip pick up was for 8am then we were told we had to get picked up at 7am. I asked to cancel and get a refund and the scammer refused to provide a refund. The tour was advertised for 7-8 hours but in fact took 12 hours and we had to incur a late check fee from our hotel and the tour refused to pay this. If you deal with Haitham he is a scammer. Do not book this company and use another company.
