Your tour begins with a pick-up from your Cairo hotel by your designated tour guide, who will accompany you throughout the entire day. The journey to Alexandria takes approximately three hours. Upon arrival, your guided tour commences at the catacomb, a Roman tomb dated back to the 2nd century, before proceeding to Pompey’s Pillar (otherwise known as the Ruins of Serapium) and the Fortress of Quitbay, constructed on the ruins of the ancient lighthouse. After a lunch break, your final destination will be the Library of Alexandria.
