Alexandria, the city of Alexander, has a rich history that spans over a thousand years. Once the largest city in the world, it is home to the most extensive library and the most famous lighthouse globally, the Pharos. And with this tour, you can experience this city’s rich history firsthand. Starting early at 7 am, you’ll drive for about three hours to reach Alexandria, where you’ll begin by visiting the Catacombs of Kom el-Shokaffa, dating back to the 1st century A.D. From there, you’ll explore the ruins of Pompey’s Pillar and the Serapis temple, followed by the Fort of Qaitbay, built over the site of the iconic Pharos to defend Egypt against Ottoman invasion. You’ll then have lunch at a good quality seafood restaurant overlooking the Mediterranean before heading to the Roman Amphitheater and the Library of Alexandria. With this tour, you’ll embark on a journey through time and history that you won’t want to miss. You will be transferred back to your hotel at the end of the tour.

Great day trip to Alexandria - Great private tour from Cairo taking in the many of the main sites.
Start early to beat the traffic is worth it. Visited the catacombs, amphitheater, Roman pillar, library and the fort.
Plenty to see and I love the fact of the Mediterranean coast. My favorite was the fort. Quite new in Egyptian terms at 800 years old but wonderful as you look out on the sea.
End with lunch. Choose the Fish Market. Has a sea view of the fort while I enjoyed grouper served with rice, salads and lots of wonderful fresh made bread.
And the my guide Mimo was fabulous. Used him for three different excursions and he made everything easy. He sorted all the tickets and would adjust to accommodate our requests.

A lovely day in Alexandria - Egypt - My friends and I booked a day Tour ro Alexandria.. our guide was Fatma Mohammad. She was great!! Very friendly, knowledgeable, accommodating and ensured we had a great day in Alexandria.. She was great at taking creative pictures and also let us try some local foods which was lovely. We recommend her to anyone wanting to go..

Must do if you want to visit Alexandria! - Everything you need to see in Alexandria with a great guide. Nour was super nice, knowledgeable, and incredible with time management at every stop. I would definitely recommend to anyone wanting to explore the city with a private guide.

Amazing experience - Our guide Abraham was very knowledgable about the sites, very patient with us and took us to other sites along with the ones advertised that were amazing. Definitely book a tour and ask for him specifically. I will definitely use him for all of my Egypt Tours from now on.

Very enjoyable day tour to Alexandria - Islam (tour guide) & Ahmed al Tayar (driver) are both very knowledgeable and friendly to share with me interesting information of all sites I’ve visited and also show me locals places to experience Alexandria like a local. Had a very enjoyable day with them! Highly recommended tour with Islam & Ahmed al Tayar.

Day trip to Alexandria from Cairo - The day trip to Alexandria was a memorable one for me. My tour guide and the driver were amazing hosts. It was well organized and I was picked up at my hotel by the driver and met my tour guide in Alexander. She was knowledgeable and well versed in the history of the sights in Alexandria. Amazing host and a person she was and I would give a her a tip rating. The lunch by the Mediterranean sea was sumptuous . Our driver was a very nice guy and helped me in getting a gift to the hotel. Overall, I would give this trip an excellent rating. Worth the money and the time.

Cairo to Alexandria - Took a chance with this tour as a couple. Loved the experience and felt very safe with our tour guide Sherif and driver Mostafa. They were so polite and very accommodating with no pressure at all. Sherif was very knowledgeable and would answer questions as we had them. We had a great long day together and would recommend this tour to anyone traveling in Egypt. We stayed in Cairo and it was nice to get away from the busy city for a day during our trip.

Perfect day tour with guide Fatima - Because of a perfect tour in Cairo with our guide Fatima, we booked the tour to Alexandria with her. The day was equally as perfect - Fatima and our driver were perfect hosts, both providing interesting information on Egypt itself and the ancient city of Alexandria. The sites we saw were very interesting, we could try the local food and were not stuck in traffic (due to the experience of our driver). We would warmly recommend Fatima as a guide for any tour! If we had more time, we would definitely book her again - she’s very professional, very welcoming and kind and highly intelligent! Her English level is close to one of a native speaker!

Highly Recommend this tour - Mimo was a great guide. He was so knowledgeable about all of the historic sites we visited today. He was flexible and answered all of our questions about the sites, culture, and Egyptian history.

The tour guide was in... - The tour guide was in such a hurry was more interested in making back to his home in Cairo.
Not very knowledgeable.
The tour guide and his driver talked in Arabic non stop both going and coming from Cairo to Alexandria
