- Catacombs of Kom el Shoqafa - At 7:00 AM, your tour guide will pick you up from your hotel to begin your journey to Alexandria, Egypt’s second-largest city. Alexandria, with its Mediterranean ambiance, is renowned for its Roman relics. Founded by Alexander the Great in 331 B.C., it served as the capital of Greco-Roman Egypt. Your first destination in this historic city is the catacombs, the largest Roman cemetery featuring three levels carved into the rock.
- Pompey’s Pillar - An 82-foot (25-meter) granite column erected in honor of Emperor Diocletian.
- Kayetbai - The Citadel of Qaitbay, constructed on the site of Alexandria’s ancient lighthouse.
- Bibliotheca Alexandrina - The Alexandria Library. Afterward, you will return to your hotel in Cairo.
- Ancient Roman Amphitheater - The term amphitheater originates from an ancient Greek word meaning an open-air venue for performances. Greek amphitheaters were typically circular or oval with tiered seating for spectators, resembling open-air stadiums. These structures were widespread in regions like Italy, Turkey, Jordan, and Greece during Roman rule. Alexandria’s amphitheater was discovered by chance in 1960 when the Egyptian government was preparing to construct a building in the Kom El Dekka area.

I had a fantastic experience tour Alexandria with Mohammed and Hassan. I really enjoyed chatting with them. A great day - The tour to Alexandria from Cairo was a great day. Mohammed was a very good guide picked me up as organised on time. He is very knowledgeable on the sites I went to and made the entry process easy. Mohammed is very helpful and will answer all your questions. The driver Hassan was very good and safe getting through the traffic with so many vehicles on the road. I was very happy with the service Mohammed and Hassan provided. I would recommend going with them on a tour in Cairo and Alexandria. They both did the Pyramid tour with me and provided the same excellent service. Keep up the great work showing the highlights of Egypt.
