beautiful day spent touring thru history - Ahmed Elsayed was our guide, friendly, very informative & knowledgeable. he pointed out sights on the drive from Giza to Alexandria. he made sure we ate and helped us navigate the entrance fee purchases for our stops. he kept us on schedule & let us take our time at each sight. well planned tour day. our driver was Hossam, who kept us safe & knew how to weave us in and out of the streets of Alexandria with an expertise that only an excellent driver in Egypt would have. highly recommend.

Good tour - Very nice driver and guide (Medhat). Everything ok. We went to the catacombs, citadel, new library and eat (very good) full local falafel. Other type of food than local is optional. Very good communication before the trip.

A cultural day - All my life reading books, history came to life today after my visit to Alexandria. What made this trip even better was my tour guide Mona and her knowledge, she gave me an amazing refresher and added more of what I knew. The tour itself is not too long, the trip from Cairo is aprox. 3hrs each way, but it was a very comfortable ride in a nice car with a great driver and a/c. Lunch was in “Fish Market” delicious!!! This tour is not for adventure seekers (I consider myself one) however it was perfect after a full day tour of the pyramids in Giza because we were tired and today was more relaxing while full of entertainment. Really enjoyed this tour to... -
Really enjoyed this tour to Alexandria to see the main tourist sites. It seemed a little rushed as in takes almost 3 hours to travel to Alexandria and 3 hours to return to Cairo. But I am glad we did take the tour. The lunch was excellent.

Alexandria day trip with Nour - Tour started with pick up from my Giza hotel around 7am. It took about 3 hours to get to Alexandria. On the way there was rest stop. Wifi was provided in the car when asked - seems to be a hot stop from the tour guides phone. In Alexandria went to the catacombs, the pillar of Ptolemy - we did not really go in there as there wasn't much to see there, next to citadel of Qaitbay - lovely place, followed by bonus aquarium visit. Had local meal Koshary for lunch afterwards at a sea side restaurant. The guide Nour kindly allocated some time for me the do my prayers at local mosque after lunch. After prayer visited the new library of Alexandria. Left Alexandria around 2pm for 3 hours drive back to Giza again. In Giza area went a papyrus gallery and a perfume/aromatherapy place as part of the day tour. And back to hotel by little after 5pm. In All and all about 4 hours were spent in Alexandria. I hope my review helps you in planning your visit.

Below standard experience - The tour guide was knowledgeable for the sites that we visited. However, we arrived late at the library and was not allowed to enter. We were supposed to have drinks and snacks, but we only received one bottle of water and one can of soda on the return back to our hotel after walking in the hot sun all day. We were promised that we could stop to shop for 30 mins in the market, but the tour guide tried to take us a a gov’t shopping location in which we refused to go in. Then, he said the traffic was bad in Alexandria and it would be better to stop in Cairo for shopping, but that never happened. This was the last day of our vacation and this tour Company was by far not to the standards of the other tour companies we used during our week vacation.

Cheap so not very good - We took the French version of the excursion, the price is interesting because cheaper than the other ones but the quality isn’t there The car wasn’t Clean, and there wasn’t any air conditioning for the first half of the day even With the very hot weather. The guide didn’t speak French very well and the explanations weren’t very elaborate and were at times repetitive
