Excellent historical walking tour. You won’t find a better guide. - I have lived in Northern Virginia for many years and have been in Old Town many times, so I knew something about the history. But Tim opened my eyes to so much fascinating history that I never knew! He blew me away with his encyclopedic knowledge and storytelling. He had great visual aides and old photographs to show how things were. We could have gone on for hours! If you want a general history walking tour of Old Town, look no further, this is it.

Great tour! Highly recommend! - Tim was my tour guide. He is amazing. Visual aids shared were totally on point! I was the only participant so had a personalized tour experience. As an aside… I do city tours whenever I can. In some, if there were not a set quantity of participants, the guide would cancel. This was not the situation at all with Tim. He moved forward with me even though I was the only. I appreciated that sooo much. Highly recommend.

Alexandria Old Town Walking Tour - My husband and I signed up at the Visitors Center in Alexandria for a walking tour on July 4th. Wayne was our guide and the tour was phenomenal. We are older, and Wayne spoke loudly enough that we could hear every word. He had an iPad with photos that really enhanced the stories he told. He gave the back story of many of the buildings, homes, and set the stage by talking about life in the late 1700s, early 1800s. His stories were told with facts, backstories, but also with humor. We did 4 blocks, took a break for water since it was almost 100 degrees, then another 4 blocks. Because of his suggestions, and to learn more, we took the full tour of the Carlyle House, also Gadsby’s Tavern, where we had lunch. Wayne was full of historic information, observations, and suggestions. His tour was one of the best we’ve ever taken. Thank you!!!
