Each participant will choose an electric bike according to their size and preference. The e-bike will come with a drink holder, a cell-phone holder, a tire repair kit, a lock and a bag or basket. One of our team members will give instructions on bike operation and trail safety.
The Mount Vernon trail, only a few blocks from the bike shop, will take them along the Potomac River towards Arlington and Washington DC. The participant will use the 14th Street Bridge to get over the Potomac River and into Southwest DC at the Jefferson Memorial. Keep riding in the bike lanes until you reach the National Mall and head towards the US Capitol. Ride past the Smithsonian Museums and Botanical Gardens, go around the US Capitol and start heading back. You will see more museums, the White House and the Lincoln Memorial before you cross back into Virginia over the Memorial Bridge. Head South on the Mount Vernon Trail back to Old Town Alexandria.

Seeing the monuments on electric bikes is unlike any other way. You can see more in less time. You have the freedom to go fast and cover a lot of ground. Or you can slow down and smell the roses. Avoid the traffic congestion and don’t worry about the parking hassle. Electric bikes are fun and allow you to keep going! Go all the way up to the Washington Monument or the steps of the Lincoln Memorial. Much faster than walking and less hassle than driving. Enjoy the outdoors, get exercise and have fun! (Food trucks everywhere!)
