Sintra Enchanted tour

Quinta da Regaleira - Visit one of Portugal’s most beautiful palaces. You can choose from about seven palaces to visit, but we usually recommend Quinta da Regaleira.

Centro Historico de Sintra - Sintra is a UNESCO World Heritage Site surrounded by beautiful landscapes. High in the mountains above the village, you’ll find the Pena Palace, a 19th-century blend of architectural styles.

The former residence of the Portuguese royal family is also famous for its beautiful and romantic gardens and woods, known as the Village’s Palace. At the end of the tour, you can enjoy the atmosphere of Sintra’s old town with its narrow streets.

Cascais Marina - Join us in visiting the coastal cities of Estoril and Cascais, which were once the summer residences of aristocrats and now attract an international clientele to their elegant hotels, casino, and shops.

Casino Estoril - A historic casino known for the royal family parties held in the 1940s.

Cabo da Roca - The westernmost point of continental Europe.

Lisbon city tour

Praca Marques do Pombal - We start our tour at your hotel and explore Lisbon’s history, heading towards Liberdade Avenue, where you’ll learn about the legendary Marquis of Pombal. Next, enjoy the beautiful Restauradores Square, Rossio Square, and learn about the 18th-century earthquake that destroyed the city.

Along the way, you’ll see Comercio Square (also known as Terreiro do Paço), the former entrance hall of the city, the Lisbon Cathedral, Lisbon’s oldest church, and old cafés and boutiques.

Castelo de S. Jorge - A stunning 10th-century castle built by the Moors, offering one of the best views of Lisbon.

Torre de Belem - A 16th-century fort built to protect the river entrance.

Mosteiro dos Jeronimos - In the Belem district, we’ll visit Belem Tower, the Monument to the Discoveries, Jeronimos Monastery, and you can taste a typical Portuguese pastry at the famous Pastel de Belem factory.

Nazaré, Peniche private tour ending in Porto

Nazare - We’ll stop to see the location of the world’s biggest waves! A charming fishing village with beautiful views, we’ll explore its unique charm.

Peniche - A lesser-known spot with some of Portugal’s wildest and most beautiful scenic sights. A mecca for surfing and waves.

Porto city tour

Ponte de Dom Luis I - We start our city tour by walking across the Dom Luis I bridge, built in 1886 by Théophile Seyrig, the business partner of Gustave Eiffel. Next, we’ll visit the Sé Cathedral of Porto. As we descend, we’ll encounter the marvelous São Bento train station. Then, we’ll head to Aliados Avenue, where you’ll understand the British influence in Porto.

Livraria Lello - Considered one of the most beautiful bookstores in the world, where J.K. Rowling was inspired to write Harry Potter. We recommend purchasing tickets online and visiting early in the morning.

Torre dos Clerigos - An 18th-century construction by Italian architect Nicolau Nasoni.

Pelourinho de Vila Nova de Gaia - Here, we’ll enjoy a guided visit and tasting of port wines.

Douro valley tour

Ponte de Sao Goncalo - Amarante, a city in the Minho region where green wine is produced. Be amazed by the São Gonçalo bridge, where the Portuguese held off Napoleon’s army for 15 days. Walk through the village and discover its secrets.

Ponte Pedonal Metalica de Peso da Regua - After Amarante, we’ll travel one of Portugal’s most beautiful roads, passing through Alto Douro Vinhateiro and Mesão Frio. The mountains and river offer outstanding views until we reach our destination, the Douro River.

Pinhao Railway Station - Pinhão boasts an amazing road leading to its famous train station. After that, we’ll return to Porto.

Aveiro and Òbidos tour

Aveiro - Our first stop is in the beautiful city of Aveiro, known as the “Portuguese Venice.” In addition to its beautiful historic center and Art Deco mansions, the city has a rich cuisine and traditional sweets. Aveiro is cut by a river and famous for its “moliceiros,” boats that once transported seaweed.

Porto to Seville - My wife and I booked a private 7 day road trip from Porto to Seville, Spain (our itinerary). This was our second trip with NomadInspirations and on this occasion our driver and guide was Carlos. Along the way we visited some amazing places including the Portuguese National Railway museum, the village of Arraiolos (famous for its carpet and rug making history), a cork factory and marble works to mention but a few. Carlos displayed his passion for the history and industry of Portugal as we travelled to Encontramento, Evora, Monsaraz, Estremoz, Elvas, Badajoz and Merida. This was an excellent, well-paced adventure with a guide whose focus was on showing us his country. We thoroughly enjoyed our time together and have no hesitation in recommending NomadInspirations to anyone planning a trip to Portugal.

Amazing! - Andre was an amazing tour guide. We was very genuine and would adjust the trip to my family’s liking. He loves Portugal and made us all want to come back and tour with him again. My family was composed of young adults and 2 older adults. Andre was able to adapt if we wanted to learn more about the history or walk more.

Lisbon to Porto - Nomadinspiration tour was absolutely the best way to see Portugal. Andre communicated perfectly up front in the planning stage. We had a group of 6 range in ages from 21 to 62, our 5 day trip included a wide range of experiences, from History, Culture, Architecture, delightful Culinary, winery’s. Lots of opportunities to walk, explore or just sit and absorb the incredible beautiful of the region sipping wine or coffee. I can not say enough positive things about Andre, his knowledge of the sites we visited was phenomenal, but to be honest his personality was so fun and engaging that we felt as if we were traveling with a dear friend. We took turns riding shotgun, each of us got to talk to him about our particular interests, from music to sports to history, to local culture, food and economics. Andre also took us to or recommended restaurants we would have never found on our own. The vehicle we road it was high end, extremely comfortable and spotlessly clean every single day, Andre was 100% on time to pick us up, and if we want to linger at a location he made it work. If you want to come away falling in love with Portugal I highly recommend Nomadinspiration. This was without a doubt best tour experience I have ever had.

An exceptional holiday in Portugal. A special Thanks to our Guide Andre who made it worth a once in a lifetime holiday. - Portugal is a wonderful country and we had the opportunity to enjoy it to the fullest, thanks to our guide Andre. He came recommended by a friend and Andre not only lived up to our expectations but exceeded them. Andre is not only knowledgeable about the different sites in Portugal and their history, he took the trouble of understanding our needs and introduced us to altogether a different quality of service. We ate at local restaurants from Lisbon to Porto. He drove us around for 8 days in a very comfortable Mercedes Benz 8 seater. He dropped us as close as possible to the sites and picked us up at spots convenient to us. We had initially planned it see a site or 2 per day, we ended up seeing far more places. We saw historic sites, we ate both at gourmet restaurants and hole in the wall places that served great local cuisine, had great wine- be it green, white , red, and port from different wineries in Lisbon to durro valley to Porto. While my family loved the expression coffee I stuck to my mid latte coffee that Andre recommended. I strongly recommend contacting Andre as a guide for your trip to see Portugal, the value of his service far exceeds the cost.
