- Michipicoten Post Provincial Park - The ancient Indigenous history of the landscape will be pointed out along the banks of the historic Michipicoten River. The hidden location of the famous Michipicoten Hudson Bay Company Post will be identified while Johanna covers the rich archaeological history of the area
- Wawa - Wawa Creek Falls is a hidden, crystal green cascade on a secret path few people explore. Johanna will share this secret gem and allow folks to dip their feet and maybe see a trout or two.
- Michipicoten Post Provincial Park - On the opposite bank from Michipicoten Post is a tiny 200 year old cemetery few people know exists. You will get to explore this unique graveyard that holds one of the oldest headstones in Northern Ontario. The Mackenzie-Bethune Cemetery may be small in size but symbolizes the significant role of Indigenous women in the fur trade.

We will unearth the olden chronicles of the First People, locate the areas of fur trade establishments, and tread the pathways of the voyageurs, loggers, artists, and miners who significantly contribute to Wawa’s present-day history. Our trek of 1.5 kilometres will escort us to three waterfalls, concealed scenic points, and features an ideal picnic spot — a location where a Group of Seven artist has once painted.
- Terrain is mostly flat but proper walking/hiking shoes should be worn. There are short rocky sections and an incline that may include mud and damp rocks.
