Our beginning point will be at the Central Market, where an array of traditional snacks awaits to be tasted by us. (We’ve got the transportation to the castle covered).

We’ll then make our descent to the historic city center, admiring the major monuments and revealing the seven secrets.

Indulge in the charm of my native city replete with numerous anecdotes, historical tales, legends, and mystery.

Wrapping up our journey, we’ll stop by the tapa bar owned by a friend from my younger days, honoured for serving the finest tapas in Alicante. Here, you’ll have the opportunity to relish one of his award-winning tapas pair perfectly with a quintessential Spanish beverage.

Great walking tour! - We enjoyed this walking tour a lot, learned a bit of Alicante history and taste some good Jamon Iberico and Manchego cheese that were so good that we had to come back to the store for more. Highly recommended to try this tour.

Fun & Thorough Tour for 1st Time Visitor - Francisco was very knowledgeable, engaging, and easygoing. He spoke perfect English. It was a great tour as a 1st time visitor in Alicante, lots of time spent outdoors enjoying the nature and scenic views of the city. Would definitely book another tour with Francisco/Alicante Viator.

a superb discovery of the city - A guided tour by Marina that allowed us to discover Alicante with lots of anecdotes. We particularly enjoyed being able to take a taxi (included in the tour) to climb to the citadel which allows not to suffer from the heat. I highly recommend!!

Tour done in July 2024 - worth it! - Me & my mum did this tour in July. It was really interesting to see bits that we wouldn't have normally noticed, along with the history as told by the locals. The food market is worth a visit, there's a lot of lovely produce to see and try. The history of Alicante is really in depth and being able to walk around while being told it is a good way of learning.

Great first day in Alicante! - Loved this tour! Our guide Fran, was friendly, knowledgeable and made the whole experience interesting and varied. We covered such a lot during the morning - the market, castle, and Santa Cruz area, finishing off in a lovely authentic restaurant for a tasty rice dish. Would 100% recommend!

Muchas Gracias! - Paco was very friendly and engaging. He made the tour and each stop interesting, from the Alicante Market, Santa Barbara, the view, cats around the area, the plants and it's background, the tiny streets, urban legend, side stories, etc. The tour was worth the trip and ending the group in a local tapas bar was a lovely way to finish the Alicante Historic Tour with Tapas Tasting. Muchas Gracias Paco!

The tour was fantastic! - The tour was fantastic! It includes more than you would expect. Aside from the lively and casual explanation, scenic/instagramable photo settings and friendly introduction you receive a little window into the history and culture of the city. The guides, Isac & Mariana (sorry if I got the names wrong!), were friendly and approacheable. Even though we took the tour at the peak of summer, it didn’t take a lot of effort. Excellent value for money.
