Spend a beautiful day visiting two unique places in the region of Alicante: the Pink Lake of Torrevieja and the Tabarca Island.
Start your day by visiting the Salinas de Torrevieja, which gets its distinctive pink hue from a type of algae called Dunaliella salina. When the conditions are just right, particularly during the warmer months when the water evaporates more quickly, the algae multiply rapidly and produce a reddish-pink pigment.
Later, catch the boat to Tabarca Island, the only inhabited island in the region. During your 30-minute boat ride, make use of the water level window to spot fish underwater.
Once on Tabarca, take advantage of plenty of free time to explore this Mediterranean Marine Reserve and its fascinating biodiversity. Stroll around the small town, relax on the beach, go swimming or eat at one of the restaurants.
At the end of the day, head back to Alicante.
This tour is perfect for families and nature lovers.
