- Participants must be able to walk continuously for 3-4km
- All participants will be required to complete a Liability Waiver prior to the tour’s commencement

The tour will depart from near the main entrance to the Grote Kerk (located on the Koorstraat) in Alkmaar's centre. Your guide will be standing by the lamp post with the built in seating and will be holding an 'Alkmaar Tours' sign.

Nice weekend in Alkmaar and a nice city tour!! - We loved the tour in Alkmaar!!! Jen, our Canadian guide, made it for us a perfect tour unless the rain!!!
Nice buidings and good hotels to stay.

Great tour of Alkmaar - Jen was an excellent tour guide with great knowledge of the city of Alkmaar. She went above and beyond by giving extra tips and suggestions for touring cities beyond Alkmaar and within Alkmaar. She is a lovely, warm person as well. I highly recommend her to visitors of Alkmaar.

Cheesemarket - Perfect way to visit the old centre of Alkmaar and the cheesemarket. We had a great tour with Jenifer who walked us trough the centre to the market, which is an experience! Good explanations and interresting stories. Thanks for the tips for the boattour, shopping and lunch. We had a perfect time.

Stellar - Had a great time on this tour of beautiful Alkmaar. Jennifer showed off a lot of beautiful old buildings with amazing architecture. She was very communicative and able to answer all of my questions. Definitely a great value. Had a blast!

Awesome Alkmaar - I had Jennifer all to myself and had a great time. I would highly recommend this tour. I learned a lot about the city and Jennifer was very friendly and outgoing. She also had two postcards ready for me to take home for my girls. She even forked over 50 cents when I needed a restroom stop.

Kudos to you for a great walking tour. Your personality suits this venture just right. You made us feel like family as we walked the narrow streets of Alkmaar. We had a great feel for the city and did enjoy the deliciouis Dutch mini pancakes (sorry, forgot their names) that you recommended after the tour. Glad your kids enjoyed their Kings Day extras!

So Much History in Only 2 Hours ! - Thanks Jen your walking tour of Alkmaar was a delightful experience. You are such a warm and welcoming guide who makes your guests feel relaxed and informed. Your attention to detail is exceptional and the ‘secret’ local tips invaluable including the yummy rhubarb sorbet at the Ice Cream shop.

Alkmaar’s Great Ambassador - Great tour with Jennifer and daughter Izzy. Jen told us stories, gave us history of the region and walked us down streets, alleyways, and along canals that we would not have seen on our own. A very delightful afternoon. Absolutely a must do if in Alkmaar and if you have a ten or and eleven year old see if Izzy can join the tour....she is great with kids.

Walking Tour of Alkmaar with Jennifer by Alkmaar Tours - Jennifer is a very friendly and very knowledgeable on the history of Alkmaar. The walk took us to lanes that we might not have noticed. We had passed by the Bullet House for a couple of days without realising it. Loved all the stories that she told us on the tour and the special favorites to look out for.
Lovely walk, beautiful town rich in history. Really loved Alkmaar.
Highly recommended to go with Jennifer of Alkmaar Tours :)
