Our ancient city is one of our must-see rare sites...Very impressive - The monastery is one of the most impressive places to see if it comes to Mardin. The location is both historic reflection and a monastery that shines light on the discovery of different cultures. It's made of rare sites that reflect historic beauty.Entry is paid...You have friends who guide you from the start. This was a useful excursion...

Mardin + surroundings - All the sights in the old town of Mardin can be seen on a walking tour in one day. For another day - Midyat + Dara + Deyrulzafaran etc. I recommend booking a tour. The hotels can help you with this. There is currently no entrance fee in Dara. The excavations of this ancient city are in full swing. So far only the so-called cemetery and the burial site have been excavated. In the monasteries (Deyrulzafaran and Mor Gabriel) we always paid 100TL entrance fee.

Do not miss this tour - I had such an amazing time with Ayşe. Not only did she show me parts of Old Town I hadn’t seen, her extensive knowledge of history and current events were far more informative than any of the articles I’d read about the region. Her ability to explain the culture and history of each location we visited was really special and I felt she was more like my friend welcoming me to her home town than a tour guide. I can’t recommend her enough for any tour and I can’t wait to be back and explore more of the region with her 🙏🏻

Excellent tours in Mardin, Göbeklitepe and surroundings - We have had a wonderful one week vacation in Mardin thanks to Ayșe, who speaks excellent English and is a treasure chest of information and stories about the region's many communities (Turkish, Syriac, Kurdish, Armenian and Yazidi). She is a very professional guide, able to adapt to the various needs and to the rhythm of each tourist, paying attention to details and always giving us options. She recommended the best places to eat, shop and immerse ourselves in the local culture. Besides the Old City of Mardin, she took us to see Deyrulzafaran, Mor Gabriel, a Yazidi village and Göbeklitepe.
