- Gargia - When we arrive Gargia we will get our gear on and have a nice 45-60 min walk in beautiful nature, surrounded by pine- and birch forest in the beautiful Gargia Valley.
After our walk we will come back to the Lodge, where we will sit around the fireplace and have a coffee and traditional Norwegian waffle cake, while our guide will tell you stories about the local culture and the area around Alta.

Be a part of our snowshoe adventure and venture through the Arctic terrain on foot. Our journey begins at our Explorer store in the heart of the city, where we prepare you with appropriate attire and a set of snowshoes. From there, we board our eco-friendly electric van for a scenic 30-minute drive through the splendid scenery of Alta, terminating at the Gargia Lodge, our outpost nestled in a southern valley of Alta.
Upon reaching Gargia, we’ll gear up and embark on a refreshing 45 to 60-minute walk amidst nature, enclosed by lush pines and birch trees that fill the stunning Gargia Valley.
Following the walk, we’ll return to the Lodge to unwind by the fireplace, sipping coffee and snacking on traditional Norwegian waffle cake while you enjoy tales of the local culture and the region surrounding Alta, shared by our guide.
Our journey back to Alta includes a visit to the renowned ice hotel Sorrisniva, famed for its exceptional ice art and sculptures. A must-see experience alongside ample photo opportunities for you.
