A magical moment in polar night. - A transfer to the site of Gargia impeccable (thanks John). A magnificent road, to do and redo to cross elk and aurora borealis. We're well-equipped not to get cold. Serious briefing because it's us mushering them... and it... it makes all the difference. 6 dogs to guide... The top!! Dogs are in dog heaven, they are super happy to run and sequence apulia at the end. Only regret, no Northern Lights that night... But no, no regrets so much the walk in the forest and the plain was top emotions at night. And then... the beautiful meeting on the way back: Rose, a French guide who works for Aeventyr... Next review... Just one thing before... If possible, staying at Gargia Lodge is a great option...

The Best - Do This. - Norway was one of the greatest countries we have visited, and this experience was truly transcendent, exhilarating, and magical. The Northern lights would have been great, but the dogs and the Tundra were what it was all about. Our guide and musher were outstanding, regrettably, however, we’re terrible with human names (possibly Enrico). There’s a special dog named Mira, whom holds my heart though <3.

Brilliant, exciting trip through breathtaking landscape...Book it now!! - Fabulous once in a lifetime experience. Some confusion about the meeting point but this was easily and speedily clarified when I emailed the contact at Viator. A real bonus being collected from the cruise port. The guides were lovely, the trail we followed was varied and exciting - like going through Narnia! Being able to drive your own team of huskies was something a lot of other tours did not include and was so exciting. We swapped drivers half way through, but still had over 30 mins each. Boots, snowsuits, gloves etc were provided, but we both got a bit cold when we were passenger, so make sure you wear loads ( especially on your feet). If we find ourselves in Alta again, we will definitely book another trip.

Beautiful and fun trip - We had a really nice trip on dog slide with a sweet and attentive guide. The description here on TripAdvisor is misleading though, but on their own website the trip is well described. We drove about half an hour away from Alta, where we got warm clothes and a short introduction to the slide and how we should do. And then we started. It was super fun and challenging. We were two who changed halfway, and in total we were out and driving for about 45 minutes, which we felt was a bit too short (although the arms were already tired). Afterwards we were allowed to greet the dogs and attended evening feeding, which was a really nice bonus. We finished with coffee and cake before we were driven back. All in all a really good experience, where the sliding journey itself could have lasted a little longer.
