Amazing 2 days - Great 2 days at Alton towers, so many great rides. Queues weren’t too bad for school holidays, didn’t wait more than 45 mins for anything. Stayed at woodland lodges which was nice, parking and early admission included so did nemesis first up both days. Had dinner at secret garden that was ok but expensive for what you got. Only things to improve sign posting for rides as very big place.

Amazing stay ! Alton towers resort - 1 night stay in Alton towers resort with 2 day admission pass ! Absolutely loved it, would recommend this too anyone , hotel was great with themed room, gangsta granny 👵.. my daughter was made up with how great it looked. Food was pretty good considering how many there serving at once, had a beer in the evening opposite the fountain which was relaxing after the first mammoth day in park. The park is vast compared to chessington or Thorpe park so even when busy it doesn’t feel it. There’s rides for all ages and plenty of benches for the less mobile to take a break. We never queued for more than 30minutes but this was down to good planning and having the must have app to update you with queue times , we had good weather , there’s also refill stations for free. Best ride for us was wicker man, the scenery is amazing, the gardens are worth a visit if you have time it mixes the day up ,or a pimms by the lake. Only gripe was the sky ride was closed would have made it a bit easier to get around for my mum who’s 75, but she managed with plenty of stops. We will definitely be back the complex, the staff, the rides were all 5 stars for us.

Alton Towers review 23-24th July - Day 1 was absolutely fantastic besides from The Smiler being shut down most of the day overall it was epic loved the new Nemesis Reborn and sub-terra. Thememing was fantastic. Now Day 2 was meh paid for 3 platinum fast track wristbands, excited to go on the rides and then within 10mins everything was shut for a good hour and was quite annoying but after that the day was pretty good and my family enjoyed themeselves and so did i. But for the amount of money the park makes they NEED to do some work on all the rides as they arent working to their highest potential.

Half day better than full day - Had a great half-day where as a family we got on 6 rides in comparison to 3 thrill rides on a full day. Got on the first 2 thrill rides with no issue. But know that Rita took me 2 hours to queue for based on someone who took something on the ride then lost it which caused us to wait an additional 45 mins on top of the 65 mins I'd already been in.

Amazing - I had an amazing time at Alton Towers! The rides were amazing had so much fun! The only downside to this theme park, there were a lot of delays with ride closing due to technical problems! The first day me and my fiancé went, all the five rides we went on all had delays! But apart from that was good day!!

Need to step up Alton Towers - I took my 2 grandsons 12 & 13yrs. Stayed in the Alton Towers Hotel. I was emailed before arrival to say head into the park at 9am as hotel guests could go on 2 of the big rides (Galactica and nemesis reborn) before the public entered. We did that and both these rides were closed. The only one we could find open was blade. Then throughout the day rides kept closing down. Queued for Rita which closed as we got to the front. Nemesis was mostly closed throughout the day, even the curse and spinball was closed. All this meant the queues for the few rides left were awful. It was very disappointing. Plus on the 2nd day we went in splash landings and 3 of the water slides were closed! There were no apologies or explanations. Alton Towers needs to do better.

Rides constantly breaking down ! - Terrible, rides are constantly breaking down, happened to us 3 times while queuing for in excess of 45min. Only managed to get on 1 ride throughout the whole afternoon. The whole point of staying at the resort is to get early access. No point as all of the rides remain shut even after opening at 10am. At one point there were 4 thrill rides shut. Save you money and go to another park.

Worst resort - Disappointing, worst resort we have ever been. It even does not deserve one star. On both days we have been the rides kept breaking down. Wasted an hour and a half for nothing on Smile, Galactica, Nemesis .. ….and Guest services cannot help. They just take feedbacks without writing anything down lol. Awful attitude to customers. This proves that the management does not care as no support provided after wasted time on broken rides. I do not recommend visiting it for the rides, unless you just want to walk and admire the parks. We would never ever go again not us and not family of my family.
