Alton towers Christmas……. Are you kidding?!? - I’m sorry but what a complete rip off!! The price is higher than ever but yet there’s about 5 rides open! I know it’s selected rides but come on Alton towers …what a joke!! Hex? Alton Manor? Indoor rides…no reason why these can’t be open. World of David Walliams? Family area should be open! No light trails? No markets? Yes ok they put on a nice show new for this year and the reindeer games is a clear and obvious attempt to fill some time for the paying customer but overall it’s a pathetic showing for such a huge price! Hotel side was good, decent food, ok entertainment, panto was good but overall a family of 4 was just shy of £400 and it’s just not worth it. You’re effectively paying £400 for dinner, breakfast, a bed and a couple of local singers. HUGE improvement and customer consideration needed!!!! Poor.

Too many people and Fast Tracks - We went on 28.10.2024. Our party of six got into the park by 10.30am. That part of the process was fine. We walked immediately to Rita to find that it was closed for maintenance as was another major ride in the same section for the whole of that day. We then queued for 80 minutes for the ride 13. Just as we were about to get on it we were told it was closed. We were not offered any fast track entry for later, just told to leave. At that point , our party split . Four of us queued for about 60 minutes and got on the ride Oblivion. As we came off a total of seven big rides were not working. . We left the park at 8.30pm and only succeeded in getting on 3 rides. Of that eight hours we used about 20 minutes for eating and 10 minutes for the toilet. The rest of the time was spent queuing for a total of 3 rides. It appeared to me that the focus was on selling fast track and virtually no consideration for standard paying customers. Being half term I fully expected it to be busy but to be fair to all customers there should be some restriction on admission numbers and also sales of fast track tickets I shall not be returning and I will definitely not recommend this venue currently. Appalling.

Over priced theme park, long waits for each ride, over priced food and drink. - Over priced admissions for the privilege of standing in long lines all day. Each of the big rides had wait times of over a hour. Of course I could pay out even more money to jump the line and get on quicker but surely all guests are important? Alton towers quite happy to take the money for abysmal wait times, dirty toilets and over priced food. Or you pay even more to jump the lines. Why not treat all the customers as being important and admit less people, cutting the terrible wait lines for each ride. Far better theme parks, where you actually manage to get on ride’s quickly such as paultons park and light water valley.

Disappointing day out - Worst day out ever, the ques were ridiculous 90 minutes plus waiting only managed 2 of the big rides in 9 hours, most of the big rides were shut or broken, the only way is to buy a fast track ticket but that means for a family nearly £200 more & you have to pay to leave the car park.qued for 90 minutes & it broke down.very disappointed day.waist of money

TERRIBLE!!!!! - Alton Towers come on!! UP YOUR GAME!! The Majority of the rides were shut! Staff were rude! Food was undercooked! and over priced! even if you had fast track majority of the rides to use them on were closed! fast track queues were as long as normal queues!!! My children were so upset & disappointed! We brought photo passes n didn’t get as many as we’d like as the rides were shut or 2hour queues! We be in a queue & the ride would close so we’d move to another (20mins away) for that to close!!! its ridiculous! To BUSY! obviously its about money & not customer satisfaction! They also have about 10 phone charging bays dotted around with up to 20chargers in each? all broken every one!!! We spent a fortune! an my children got on 4 rides from 10am- 9pm!!!!!!! never again!

Doesn’t care about children with autism - Arrived at the park with the Autism card and access pass but was told they didn’t take them even though I was told by the customer care team by email and phone calls and have used them twice last year . I was with two young children with autism who needed a carer and the cards covered that that I would have to pay for a full price adult ticket. They also said I could not get an access pass for the rides. The 2 children were stressed by this incident and also were all day standing in queues for long periods without the timed access pass . The trip cost a lot of money because we travelled from Ireland and the kids were looking so much for the trip. I think that’s the last time we will go there if that’s the way they treat children with autism this trip caused the children so much anxiety.

Shocking - Shocking ! Paid hundreds for fast passes and lots of rides broke down so unable to ride galactica , Rita, thirteen, rapids, hex was closed then open then closed decided to go to nemesis and they are not accepting gold fast tracks as they are only running one train ! Disgusting staff said to go to another ride yeah okay when half of them are closed ! Completely ripped off. Way too many people inside qued over nearly an hour for each scare maze so we missed out on 2 of them. Roller coaster restaurant for lunch another 40 minute que , all food came separate stone cold portions smaller than a kids meal and flat coke extortionate prices £15 for chicken and chips at a food stall £4 for drinks Here’s a great idea but a refill drink cup for £16 except when you want to refill the machines are empty ! Been a few times and always enjoyed it but this park is going down hill faster than Rita they only care about one thing and that’s how much money they can tip you off

FAULTY TOWERS ! - To many rides closed ! Wicker man has just broken down after a 45 min wait ! currently Oblivion closed , Rita closed , Thirteen closed , Wicker mdm closed! Whats the point in paying all that for a ticket if the majority of the big rides are closed !

Waste of money and a day - Don’t waste your money. We came here a year ago and around half the rides were closed, we complained and got complimentary tickets. We came back this September(2024) and it was even worse than the first time. On arrival, sonic spinball was closed, so we went to rita, rita was closed, thirteen was closed, hex was closed, so we went to the monorail, it was closed. So we walked to wicker man for an apparent 30 min wait, whistle waiting it turned into more than an hour; and repeatedly closed for maintenance while queuing. After 2 hours we had been on one ride, this place is an absolute joke. Either close the place down, charge £5 a ticket, or actually fix the rides. Won’t be returning.
