A bucket list outing!,, - This tour was very professionally run. We were picked up from the allocated point of departure on time. Transported with wonderful commentary and information from our driver to the point of departure for our walk. Innes was our guide for the suspension bridge and wooden pathway walk. She stopped all along the way giving us interesting information and showing us interesting sights. On our drive back to Porto we stopped in Arouca for coffee and special cakes from the area. A wonderful day spent in nature.

Great Hike! - Arouca suspension footbridge and the Passadiços Do Paiva elevated boardwalk along the Paiva River made for a great day hiking trip to the mountains from Porto. Meetup in Porto was easy, next to the Cathedral. 14 persons, 2 vans. Drive to Areinho was comfortable & pleasant. At Arouca we hooked up with our guide Inês ("John"), with Just Come tours, which thoughtfully provided day packs with plenty of water, juice, and snacks. Inês kept a good pace for everyone, with rest stops, and he entertained us with lots of information about what we were doing and the trees we were seeing. We had a beach swimming stop about half way--bring a swimsuit & small towel to dry off. Lunch was at a river cafe at the end of the hike--just okay, but whatever we wanted to drink; lunch is a tour option, but you're going to want it--no other options at the Espiunca trailhead. It was 6.5 miles in total, mostly downhill, but requiring moderate fitness, and of course you must be okay with the suspension bridge, 1/3 mile long & 57 floors high over the river. Inês took photos along the way had had them uploaded for the group within a couple of hours. To top off the return drive, we stopped at the Doces Conventuaius shop in Arouca for a very nice sampling of pastries from recipes handed down from the Monastery nuns, and whatever we wanted to drink. Great team of drivers & guide made the day seamless. Highly recommend!

Day trip from Porto - The beauty of nature with the high 60s temperatures made this a nice day. Don’t underestimate the walking though.

Exceeded expectations in every possible way. - I cannot list all the ways this excursion exceeded our expectations so I will just list a few. But first let me say, you need to be in at least decent shape to complete this walking trip without issue. Now, Sergio was awesome. He picked us up our hotel (very convenient) and was so very nice. The trip to the bridge and river walk was beautiful and a bit crazy but Sergio handled the winding mountains roads like a pro. Our guide, John was amazing and very knowledgeable, I believe we were lucky to have him as our guide. The visual thrill of the entire trip, the excitement of crossing the bridge and the overall experience was amazing, a must do. The bridge and river walk were a huge part of the excursion BUT not the only highlights. After, we all had lunch at a beautiful river side restaurant, then we all shared "sweets" in the town of Arouca. Sitting at an outdoor cafe table with international "friends" sharing sweets was an amazing experience. Sergio's kind, enthusiastic personality made the experience all the better. That was a brief explanation of just how amazing this excursion was/is. We highly recommended it.

Really enjoyable day trip - The drive out to Bridge 516 was good with Paulo. Very informative as was Joao who guided the walk. Spectacular experience crossing the bridge. Was a warm day but he carried plenty of extra water for those who ran out, there was a nice stop mid-way on a riverside beach and a welcome lunch at the end. We had a pleasant half hour for pastries and a drink on the return journey at a lovely town plaza. All in all a good day

Amazing and detail planned tour - We have Daniel driving us from Porto to the suspension bridge and he picked us up from the end of the hike. He also drove us to a small town for sweets. Everything was so well thought of and was executed perfectly. We enjoyed ourselves and is one of the best tour we went. I will highly recommend this tour with this provider.
