Highlights
  • Amalfi - Once everyone is on board and briefed about the day’s plan, we’ll set off westward towards Positano.

The journey will take us along the Amalfi Coast’s best beaches, past natural rock arches, and into sea caves, allowing us to admire the old watchtowers scattered along the coast.

We’ll stop at beaches accessible only by sea, with time for snorkeling or swimming in crystal-clear waters and exploring grottoes.

Shortly after leaving Amalfi’s center, we’ll approach the Saint Andrew Grotto, a large natural sea cave filled with stalactites, named after Amalfi’s patron saint, Andrea.

After passing Duoglio and Santa Croce beaches, we’ll visit the “Arc of Lovers,” a natural rock arch shaped like two kissing elephants, formed millions of years ago by sea erosion. Young couples used to marry atop it not too long ago.

We’ll then cruise past the ancient fishing village of Conca dei Marini, near Sophia Loren’s villa, and see the historic hotel “Il Saraceno” on La Vite Beach.

  • Conca dei Marini - Once an ancient fishing village, Conca dei Marini offers stunning views of the villages of Furore and Praiano, as well as the islands of Li Galli and Capri, and the famous Faraglioni Rocks. Further into this basin, we’ll find the small Runghetiello Grotto and its tiny beach, where we’ll anchor for a break to swim or snorkel.
  • Fiordo di Furore - After leaving Conca dei Marini, we’ll reach the famous Furore Fjord, Italy’s only natural fjord and the site of the international diving competition “MarMeeting.” Every July, professional divers from around the world compete by jumping from the 28-meter-high bridge.
  • Praiano - Continuing to the village of Praiano, we’ll get a close look at the larger Africana Grotto, where the water has a distinctive blue color due to unique light refraction.
  • Positano - Finally, we’ll round Capo Sottile and cruise to Positano, where we’ll take another break for snorkeling at the secluded La Porta beach, accessible only by sea and thus uncrowded.

The return trip to Amalfi will offer a different but equally stunning view of both sea and land.

Additional Information

You will never see the Amalfi Coast like this! You will discover the Amalfi Coast’s hidden delights and breathtaking views from a typical Amalfitan Gozzo boat, thanks to the comprehensive experience and knowledge of local captains and in a very small group (max 10 participants)!

The route to Positano will take us along Amalfi’s finest beaches as well as close to natural rock arches and into sea caves, giving us the opportunity to admire the old watch towers that dot the entire length of this coast.

We will pause at beaches reachable only by sea and have time to go snorkeling or swimming in crystal-clear waters and into grottos (snorkeling equipment provided by us).

Our boats are 8 to 10 meters (26.2 to 32.8 feet) Amalfi Coast “Gozzo”, a very evocative and spacious type of boat original of this area and used by locals since ancient times.

All boats have a little bathroom that can be used in case of necessity during the breaks.

Best part of our Italy trip! - What an amazing experience! Everything from scheduling, to the meet up and the actual trip was smooth as could be. Christian was our captain of the boat and he is such a wonderful host! We were two families with teenage boys and girls and he catered to us all perfectly. He was so kind, informative, and fun! He was the best man for this family. We all loved him. We didn’t feel rushed and just had the most amazing day. We would do this trip over and over again! Highly recommend it. You will not be disappointed! The Almafi coast is much more beautiful by sea!

The best way to see the Amalfi coast - The cruise was wonderful, highlight of our trip! Skipper was great, swimming by a beach reached only by boat, snorkling, snacks, drinks and music! The views were beautiful and we had a great time! Highly recommend

Book this tour! - This was our favorite experience in Italy on our honeymoon! The guide, Guisseppe, was super friendly and personable. He was a great captain and paced the tour perfectly. We were with 3 other couples and everyone was nice and friendly. We stopped twice to get out and swim with the snorkels and pool noodles that were provided. Guisseppe even took a photo of us right in front of Positano and it turned out great! There was water, alcoholic drinks, Coke, and melon on the boat which was a nice extra touch. We can’t recommend this tour highly enough!

Amalfi coast boat trip - Tour was incredible. Christian, who was our captain, knew how to create a super vibe with the songs, he was relaxed, told stories about the tourist attractions and was very helpful at the snack and diving stops. We had a lot of fun, with a very light and relaxed atmosphere. I highly recommend
