In Pompeii, you have around 2 hours guided tour of the archaeological excavations of this commercial centre that was buried by the Vesuvius eruption. You’ll have free time for lunch before continuing to Ercolano. When you reach Herculaneum, the other city buried by Vesuvius, you’ll have around 2 hours guided visit to the excavations. Unlike Pompeii, which was a thriving commercial centre, Herculaneum was a quaint residential coastal town. On the return journey you’ll stop at well-known cameo atelier.
