- Yoruk Village - Adjacent to Safranbolu, Yörük Village is a delightful place brimming with historic Ottoman mansions, almost like a gift. Often referred to as a miniature Safranbolu, this village captivates visitors with its narrow streets, hidden courtyards behind wooden fences, and bay-windowed mansions.
Thanks to these characteristics, Yörük Village in Safranbolu was designated a protected area in 1997 and is recognized as one of Turkey’s most beautiful villages. The village derives its name from the Yörük Turkmens who settled here many years ago.
- Kuskayasi Yol Aniti - Constructed between 41-54 AD, this monument was built by Gaius Julius Aguilla, who served as the Commander of the Eastern Provinces Construction Army under Roman Emperor T. Germanious Claudius and was later appointed as the Governor of Bithynia-Pontus for life. Part of the Roman road network, the monument honors the Emperor and features two inscriptions, seating areas, and rock niches. It also includes a statue of the King carved into the rocks using the dough relief technique and the Roman Domination Eagle.
- Bulak Cave - Located within the borders of Karabük Central Bulak Village and adjacent to the Safranbolu District, the entrance to Bulak (Mencilis) Cave is on steep rocks, and the cave extends for 6.5 kilometers. Of this, 2.5 kilometers have been mapped, and a 380-meter section has been opened to tourism with electrification and a walking path. The cave remains hydrologically active, featuring underground rivers, ponds, waterfalls, and unique stalactite and stalagmite formations, all registered as “Natural Assets,” drawing interest from researchers and visitors alike.
- Hidirlik Tepesi Safranbolu - A panoramic viewpoint of Safranbolu.
- Lokum ve Safran Muzesi - A museum dedicated to Turkish delight in Safranbolu.
- Safranbolu Eski Carsi - From the 13th century until the early 20th century when the railway arrived, Safranbolu was a key caravan stop on the main East-West trade route. The Old Mosque, Old Bath, and Süleyman Pasha Medrese were built in 1322. In its 17th-century heyday, Safranbolu’s architecture significantly influenced urban development throughout much of the Ottoman Empire.
