A Great Day Out - Overall this was a fantastic experience! My driver, Jezu, was knowledgeable about the area, the roads, the best photo angles and conversed in English very well. He made me feel very safe the entire trip, even going out of his way to caution me at potential areas of hazard (slippery rocks, low hanging branches, etc.). He was patient and encouraging with some of the more difficult terrain. Like the true gentleman he is, he even offered to carry my bag for me. Jezu genuinely seemed to enjoy the trip as much as I did and made it that much more special with his enthusiasm to share Bali’s scenic treasures with me. My next trip to Bali I will certainly be requesting Jezu for any tours I will be taking. This trip was excellent, well-timed and thought out. It required moderate fitness levels (mainly just up/down stairs). The only reason I have given it a 4 star rating rather than a 5 star is that, as a solo traveller, I do feel discriminated against. Not only with this trip, but with the majority of trips offered that I looked at in Bali. From what I have experienced, the fees are typically higher for solo travellers or, in this instance, things that would be included for 2+ people, for example, all entrance fees, were not. I would have preferred to have any solo travellers that booked for the day be put into one vehicle and be considered 2+ people (as there were multiple solo travellers with us at all sites throughout the duration of the trip). I understand that this is considered a “private tour”, but I think solo travellers should at least be given an option. Overall, this was a great experience and one that I would recommend to friends. I look forward to exploring more of Bali through trips such as this.
