Tirta Gangga - The Tirta Gangga royal water garden offers a refreshing escape in the eastern highlands of Karangasem regency in East Bali. Situated on the southeastern slope of Mount Agung, it was constructed in 1946 during the reign of the late King of Karangasem, Anak Agung Anglurah Ketut Karangasem (1887-1966). Owned and maintained by the royal Karangasem family, the expansive 1.2-hectare water gardens include pools, ponds, and fountains, all surrounded by meticulously manicured lawns, stepping stones, ornate statues, and tropical gardens. The gardens underwent several restorations after the 1963 volcanic eruption of Mount Agung.

This private tour visits the Lempuyang temple, often termed as the Gateway to Heaven, renowned as a hotspot for photography among tourists visiting Bali. Due to the temple’s remote location in the eastern part of Bali, the tour begins early at 6 am, starting with pick-up from the hotel. This is done to secure an advantageous spot for photographs as the rising sun illuminates the majestic mountains that form the photo backdrop.
In addition to this, we will visit the well-known Tirta Gangga royal water garden. Nestled in the cool eastern highlands of Karangasem regency in East Bali, this luxurious water park lies on the southern slope of Mount Agung, the highest mountain on the island. Constructed in 1946 during the rule of the former Karangasem king, Anak Agung Anglurah Ketut Karangasem (1887-1966), the property is owned and operated by the Karangasem royal family. It boasts a 1.2-hectare pool-filled garden.
