Freshen up and gather in the lobby around 6:00pm for an informal meeting with your guide and fellow tour members. Ajlun, Jerash, Amman

Ajlun - Enjoy breakfast before a day of exploration. Follow your guide on a city tour of Amman, including visits to the Citadel and Amphitheatre. Then, head to Ajloun to see the castle ruins and the ancient city of Jerash, known for its stunning Greco-Roman ruins. Return to Amman in the evening.

Jerash - Jerash, also known as Gerasa, Gerash, or Gerasha, is the capital and largest city of the Jerash Governorate in Jordan. In ancient times, it was one of the wealthiest and most cosmopolitan cities in the Near East. Settled as early as the Neolithic period and founded as a Hellenistic city in the 2nd century BCE, Jerash is famous for its well-preserved Roman and Byzantine ruins. Located 48 km north of Amman and 40 km south of Irbid, Jerash is one of Jordan’s most visited sites after Petra.

The Citadel - The Amman Citadel, in the heart of modern Amman, is an impressive site that reveals the region’s layered heritage. It is also the site of one of ACOR’s significant projects: the excavation and partial restoration of the Great Temple of Amman, also known as the Temple of Hercules.

Roman Theatre - This beautifully restored theatre is a prominent remnant of Roman Philadelphia and a highlight for many visitors to Amman. Carved into the northern side of a hill, it seats 6000 people. The best time for photos is in the morning when the light is soft, though the views from the top tiers at sunset are also stunning.

Amman, Wadi Rum

Wadi Rum Protected Area - Today, we head to our campsite in Wadi Rum Desert. Enjoy free time to explore or relax, or join an optional camel trek through the desert landscapes. In the evening, savor a traditional Jordanian dinner under the stars, followed by music and dance around the campfire with the locals of Wadi Rum.

Wadi Rum, Petra

Petra - Wadi Musa - Start the day with a Jeep safari through the vast desert landscapes. In the afternoon, leave Wadi Rum for the Lost City of Petra, one of the 7 Wonders of the World, carved from rose-colored rock. Enjoy free time on arrival in Petra to relax before an optional Petra by Night tour to see the ancient city illuminated by over 1,500 candles.

Wadi Rum Protected Area - Camels are fascinating animals with unique characters. Bedouin life in the desert would have been impossible without them. Shobak Castle - After breakfast, visit Shobak Castle, the first Crusader fortress in East Jordan. Learn about its history from your guide. Then, head to the Dead Sea, the lowest point of dry land on Earth. Enjoy a mud bath and float in the salty sea. Return to Amman in the evening.
