Insights into Amman and am amazing food - We had such a great time with Jumana! She seemed to know everyone in Amman and we explored places we woul never have found on our own, many of which we returned to the next day. We felt so welcomed by every shopkeeper and were so full by the end! Thank you Jumana - I highly recommend!

I tried new things and loved it! - I had a great time learning about Jordanian food and getting to sample and taste through a traditional produce market. I normally don't like lamb or tahini but the lamb keftah in tahini sauce was my favorite thing!! Highly recommend this tour as an intro to Jordan.

Chowing Down in Amman - It was an outstanding epicurean and cultural experience, led by an enthusiastic guide, Jumana. We sampled appetizers, drinks, produce, spices, main courses and deserts, the majority in old town Amman’s streets and alleyways. We highly recommend this food tour as the best guided food tour we have taken for epicurean and cultural experience. Don’t miss it and bring your appetite!

A memorable, fun and delicious food tour - My husband, 18 year old son and I just spend a day with Jumana visiting the citadel and amphitheatre before eating our way through the streets of Amman. She is clearly liked and known by the local shop keepers and goes out of her way to give you access to a variety of foods that would be difficult to access on your own. Jumana was entertaining, friendly, knowledgeable and went out of her way to show us around the city. Highly recommend.

Excellent food and excellent guide. Jordan is SAFE. - We are Americans and Jordan is a very, very safe place to travel. If you are worried about safety, do not be worried, it is very safe.
My wife and I had an excellent experience with our guide Jumana. We ate many Jordanian dishes toured markets, had the national dish of Jordan and had desserts. We started with za'atar Manakish and continued to a falafel stand. We also went to the sugar market where we were showing all the fruits and vegetables and we ate some nuts, multiple olives and some dates. We saw the guy making some bread and slamming the bread against the inside of a tandoor oven to cook it. Then we went inside to have a couple of lamb dishes. We then had the national Jordanian dish of mansaf. We finished with a couple of desserts including the Jordanian ice cream.
Jumana is an excellent guide. She kept the evening going, kept everybody engaged, told us other things about the sites we were seeing while recommending different restaurants along the way. Nobody could eat all of the food that we had. It was so much. This tour was noted as a 3-hour tour. Our tour actually lasted closer to 4 hours and it was interesting for everyone of those 4 hours. I highly, highly recommend this tour.

Jumana Gave Our Family a Wonderful Food Tour Experience - Jumana was our guide and provided us a fabulous food experience showing us the range of different cuisines and where to find them. She has long standing relationships with the different owners and was very knowledgeable and entertaining to us. We learned a lot about the food and its history. Would certainly recommend her to anyone considering a food tour around Amman.

Great Tour of Rainbow Street and Downtown Amman - My wife and I took this tour, with one other person, in mid December; the weather was cool with a little drizzle. We experienced Rainbow Street, as well as the crowded but vibrant Sugar Market and lower downtown. The food was great, and Jumana was a superb guide, patient with my fussy eating, and like every Jordanian we met, very proud of her wonderful country. The falafel especially was head and shoulders above anything we've ever tasted in the U.S.

Fun way to connect with Amman - My friends and I did the Amman evening food tour with Jumana in late March 2026. Despite the regional tensions and conflict, we felt welcome and safe in Amman and Jordan overall. It was a treat to be in the city with so few tourists, but I sympathize with the locals who are suffering through a sluggish tourism economy.
I booked the tour on the food tour’s website. Close to our tour date, Jumana coordinated the finite details about where and when to meet through WhatsApp. WhatsApp is commonly used in Jordan by tour guides, hotels, restaurants, etc.
We met Jumana on Rainbow Street to begin our tour. Jumana took us to various cafes, restaurants, markets, and shops as we meandered through the city. For the most part, the food and drinks were authentic and delicious. It’s worth noting that there is quite a bit of walking on the tour, and the bathrooms can be infrequent. Coordinate with Jumana about when the next bathroom stop might be. It’s also imperative to let Jumana know prior to the tour if you have any dietary concerns, or prefer vegetarian dishes. Additionally, let Jumana know if you need bottled water purchased at any of the stops. It might be a good idea to bring some hand sanitizer, as some of the stops are streetside style cafes.
The tour was fun, interactive, and brought us through parts of the city I might have not otherwise seen. I found the local open air markets interesting and fun. The sweet stops at the end of the tour were decadent.
Since my friends and I were the only guests on the tour, we chatted with Jumana quite a bit. That may have extended the tour’s overall time a bit… but it still felt a bit too lengthy to me. Still, the overall experience was well worth it to connect with Amman’s local food scene.
Enjoy your tour!

Wide variety of things to try - The food stops were outstanding. I think our guide was tired and had an off night as she wasn't all the engaged. Glad we did it anyway. I appreciated that it was a reasonable amount of food.. too many food tours the samples are way too big.
