Lokobe - In my 2 weeks holiday in Nosy be I made 6 excursions one of them to Lokobe, a beautiful nature reserve. All the excursions I did with Nosy be Alberto tour. The one in Lokobe was led by Anoardo, a collaborator of this group, who speaks very good Italian. He explained, accompanying us on the visit, everything about this reserve and showing us snakes, lemurs, owls, chameleons etc. in their natural environment. At the end of this interesting tour a great lunch included in the tour. If it interests me I leave the contact of Alberto tour that I contacted from Italy through wapp after seeing the great reviews obtained. +261 320401164 Have a good time

Great nature reserve - A very nice day trip! The guide picked us up in our hotel and brought to Ambatozavavy village, then in piroga along the coast to the Lokobe Reserve. We walked slowly and covered maybe some 3-4 km on jungle paths of the Reserve, but how rich they were! Many lemurs, big and small, some lizards, hameleons, a boa and a smaller snake, birds, plants, refreshing waterfall. Beautiful nature experience! Our guide Dilivio was very knowledgeable and new how to find and show us everything. At the end - rich and tasty lunch. Thanks a lot!

Too short - We booked an excursion with Sound’s: by bus we arrived at the port and then we took a boat ... very beautiful forest seen from the sea ... after sprinkling our bodies with lemongrass oil, which does not bother animals like our autan, we left for our walk through the forest. There is a path that with an up and down leads from one point to another... the guides of the group were in shorts and short sleeves and bare feet, perhaps to make less noise: one behind the line, one in front and two off the path to look for animals to show us. Very beautiful vegetation too, we saw camuflage gekis, dwarf gekis, two boas, nocturnal lemurs and black diurnal lemurs. The latter of course can be seen from afar because up there on the foliage, but it is natural. We didn't see frogs or chameleons. We walked for about 1 hour ... to my taste I would have done more ... the trip is respectful of nature, but clearly it is less “fun” than it can be for example Lemurialand, where lemurs climb on your head and approach to eat bananas. We continued with the visit to a Village and the only baobab on the island, which is not the classic specimen you see in the photos, then we had a great lunch in a beautiful village, surrounded by mangroves, with a small outdoor restaurant Villa Ti punch, run by a French gentleman and his Malagasy wife who created their activity in the mangroves. Great place to swim in privacy (there was only our group). Strikingly clean bathrooms, spectacular coconut rice!
