- The Archaeological Museum of Philippi - The ancient city of Philippi was found by Alexander’s the Great father, where we shall visit the Basilica, the theatre, the Roman Forum, the cell where Apostle Paul was imprisoned but also the Octagon Church- the first Chirstian church of Europe.
- Kavala - For centuries, in Kavala city, Byzantines, Ottomans, Jews, merchants, tobacco workers, refugees and intellectuals mingled and prospered. Here in Macedonia, the sea-routes encountered the East-West axis, cross-fertilising both. You will see the tobacco warehouses and elegant neoclassical buildings recall the city’s glorious past and then enjoy the present with a meal and a drink in its lively centre under the eye of the city’s castle or around the port.

Wonderful experience! - Exceptional views till we reach Kavala the driver George is very experienced driver. The Philippy site is wonderful and you will need quite some time to explore it. 100% recommended

Great tour to Kavala and Philippi with iGoHellas and Yiannis local guide - Yiannis was an exceptionally good driver and a tour guide as well! He had a lot of knowledge about the areas we visited, which were very interesting as well as informative. Highly recommend!

The best tour - We had an amazing time. Despite the rain, pur tour guide Tasos was very very patient and understanding. He braved the rain with us to see the sights! Very mindful aswell of our health.

Day trip to Kavala and Philippi following the footsteps of apostle Paul - It was a beautiful day trip from our hotel in Thessaloniki to the Kavala and the archeological site of philippi! Our personal driver and guide John is passionate with his job and the history of Macedonia and he gave us many information about the local history and specifically the footsteps of apostle Paul in northern Greece. We learnt a lot and had a enjoyable day with mr John!

Lot of Money for a taxi ride - Wee were very disappointed in this tour. This tour normally originates from Thessaloniki. Our cruise docked at Kavala, and we requested that we be picked up there. The tour company accommodated us. This tour stipulates that normally it is a six hour tour, and two if those hours is driving to and from Kavala. We assumed, perhaps wrongly, that the driver would be knowledgeable about the area and what we were going to see, and engage in some conversation but that was not to be. While he could speak English, he was just a driver. When we got to the sites, he was really not well informed. Perhaps we were nieve, but thought we would get some one knowledgable about what we were seeing. It was very disappointing. When we called the tour representative, and complained, we were told that if we wanted a certified guide it would be extra. When I asked how that could be set up, there was no answer. Nothing on the site differentiated between just having a driver and having someone who could give us an explanation about what we were seeing. There is no way to arrange for a certufied guide on the web site. Spent a lot of money for a taxi driver. Very disappointed.
