A Perfect Day in Kavala - Fantastic experience from start to finish! The itinerary was well-paced, the views were breathtaking, and the staff was incredibly friendly and professional. Great value for the money.
Vasilis is the Best driver in the area! Professional, friendly, and an expert behind the wheel. We felt safe and well-taken care of the entire time. 5-star service all the way!

Great way to spend the day! - What a great way to spend the day visiting the archeological site of Philippi and the city of Kavala. We opted to not purchase the tour guide option which turned out just fine. The site offers a download audio guide with admission. Our driver, Antonis, was a gentleman and had a friendly and positive demeanor. The ride was very comfortable. He turned us on to some great Greek music and his lunch recommendation in Kavala was delicious. If you are looking for something outside of a normal tour, with a laid back vibe, I highly recommend.

LOVED THIS TRIP - An amazing trip. We enjoyed the whole tour to Archaelogical site of Philippi, amazed by the spiritual journey of Apostole Paul and a lovely lunch in Kavala. Our driver and guude Antonis was a very helpful and friendly.

Great trip !!! Totally worth it!!! - Our family trip to Philippi and Kavala was a great experience, interesting, scenic, and very family-friendly. Philippi’s history was fascinating, while Kavala’s coastal charm made for a relaxing visit.
Driver Giannis was friendly and professional, and our guide Gina was very knowledgeable and helpful . Together, they made the trip smooth, enjoyable, and memorable.

Great Option for Solo Travelers - Overall a beautiful and relaxing day exploring the famous sites and attractions of Philippi and Kavala. I opted out of having a tour guide which gave me the freedom to explore as much as I’d like. My driver was polite, friendly and shared his local knowledge of the cities and surrounding areas. It was also great to get food and other recommendations info from a local. If you’re a solo traveler, who doesn’t like crowds, and loves to make your own adventure, I’d recommend this tour! Musuem fees and food are not included but were both relatively cheap altogether (under 20 euros).

Apostle Paul Philippi AD50 - We did this cultural tour to follow Apostle Paul's footsteps in Greece, hitting Philippi and Kavala on this day trip. Paul's release from prison due to earth quake was an interesting part, as was the Roman forum. We visited the Lydian Baptistery, where the first Christian in Europe was baptized. To finish the day we saw a bit of Kavala and ate a Greek meal being returning to Thessalonica.

Acts 17 (Paul and Lydia) comes to life at these sites! - Had a great driver (Adonis) whose conversation back and forth made the trip seem short. Very polite and friendly, never rushed us at any of the stops. We didnt hire him as a guide so no expectation that he knew the sites and they were new to him. Car was clean, comfortable and felt safe with his driving. Nice scenery along the way. The location truly felt like Acts 17 came to life and we had a connection with Paul and with Lydia. If you are tired of seeing idols/statues with no heads, these sites are well worth the visit!

Private tour Thessaloniki to Kavala and ancient Phillipi (shore excursion) - We took this tour as a shore excursion from Thessaloniki since the historical sites in Kavala were closed due to the national holiday the previous day when our ship stopped. Vasilis told us about local culture and history. We did not hire a private guide but the excavations at Phillipi had an audio app and we read about the area before we went, We stopped at some places for scenic pictures. The tour was flexible so we could choose how much time we spent at each site

Disappointed - Half an hour late! Very young inexperienced guide, pleasant, tried hard, but not able to connect and understand our interests. We were confused, not enough guidance provided. Car and driver were very good.

It was a long day. Time... - It was a long day. Time in Philippi was good. Might opt for a licensed guide if could do over. Our guide was a very nice guy, but limited knowledge about the site. He could communicate somewhat in English, but question and answer was hard. Time in Kavala was too short. A stop near the marina and free time for pictures and refreshments would have been nice. We had a glass of wine in Philippi, but should have done in Kavala.
