Amritsar experience - We had an amazing day with Prerit as our guide. We did a walking tour which started at our hotel and took in the sites and sounds of the city. We learnt so much about the history of Amritsar and the Jillian Wala Bagh massacre site culminating in our visit to the spectacular Golden Temple. We were also fortunate to get a back stage pass to the kitchens and preparation areas of the Langa halls where up to 100,000 people are fed daily and makes it the world's largest kitchen. In the afternoon we visited the Wagah border and was entertained by beating the retreat and changing of the guard. Thanks Prerit for a fantastic day!!
