- Golden Temple - You will be picked up from your hotel and driven to the legendary Golden Temple which is actually just a small part of a huge gurdwara complex known to Sikhs as Harmandir Sahib. There is a large water tank on the grounds of the temple complex - the Amrit Sarovar, from which Amritsar takes its name. The waters of the tank are believed to have curative powers. Spend some time inside the temple where readings from the holy book of the Sikhs continue throughout the day.
