What it is: The Night Palki is a religious procession where the Guru Granth Sahib is placed on a beautifully decorated palanquin and carried from the main sanctum to the Akal Takht Sahib, another significant building within the Golden Temple complex.
Timing: The Night Palki usually occurs in the evening, following the evening prayer ceremony known as the “Rehras Sahib.”

Observation: Travelers can observe the ceremonial procession as it moves through the beautifully illuminated Golden Temple complex. The Palki is accompanied by hymn singing and the rhythms of traditional Sikh musical instruments.
