Highlights
  • Wagah Border - You’ve probably seen many borders around the world, like the one between North and South Korea or the Changing of the Guard in London. These ceremonies are performed for their respective countries. Now, imagine witnessing a ceremony where two different countries perform the same ceremony on both sides of the border. This unique event draws thousands of visitors from around the globe daily, as it’s unlike anything else in the world. This border also serves as a crossing point for people traveling between Pakistan and India with a visa. (You’ll see the gateway where people cross the border.)

What to expect at this event: Before the ceremony, enjoy 30 minutes of music, dance shows, and fun activities. Besides the border, you can also visit the iconic Khalsa College, the India Gate city, and Atari, the last village of India.

  • Khalsa College - The most prestigious and professional Sikh college in Amritsar. You’ll be amazed by its beauty and iconic style, making it stand out among other colleges in Amritsar. It is also the first Khalsa college in India.

  • Atari - Explore the last train station of India, where trains once ran between India and Pakistan. Learn about the significant migration during the partition of the two countries. The village of Atari is also the last village in India.

A good experience - A very enjoyable afternoon / evening. A high energy carnival-like atmosphere of music, impromptu Bollywood dancing by the audience, goose-stepping & yelling. A pity that audiance numbers were not matched on the Pakistan side, but definately worth seeing. It was good to see some light-hearted fun derived from the ongoing political tensions!
