A better alternative canal cruise. - Upon arrival at the pickup location, I was told that the covered canal cruise was already discontinued more than a month ago. However, we were offered a non-covered canal boat cruise that is more expensive but we don't have to pay extra. In the end, we took the open boat cruise and we totally enjoyed the cruise with a very knowledgable captain.

Captain Martin is the best skipper - Captain Martin is a great skipper and tour guide. He’s very knowledgeable about the canals of Amsterdam and the local culture. Captain Martin is always smiling and has a great sense of humor. He told some very funny stories about what he’s seen in the houseboats along the canals.

Enjoyable trip round Amsterdam - When we arrived at the place we were told on the booking form we were advised that the covered canal cruise wasn't running but we were accepted on the open canal boat instead which was enjoyable. The skipper was lovely and told us some interesting information about Amsterdam and pointed out some important landmarks. If that boat had been full I am not sure what would have happened. Also I would like to know why we were able to book on the tour if it wasn't running!

Not the best tour - You get what you pay for. Even being so cheep, we didn’t get what we paid for. We had reservations for a covered boat as there was 50% chance of rain. No covered boat, but they did have umbrellas on board. Our skipper, “Stein” was terrible. He kept pushing his revisionist history and Marxist ideas on us instead of telling us about the city, the canals, and Amsterdam’s history. Our skipper also sped through the canals, passing other boats where he could. If you use this company, don’t let Stein be your guide.
