Such a great start to an Amsterdam stay! - We booked this 1 hour canal tour in advance to join the first afternoon we arrived in Amsterdam. We arrived and checked in our bags at the hotel. Then headed out to this tour. Gees it was a good idea to start the trip. We got to see all around Amsterdam via the canals and see all the key sights and get oriented with the city. Brilliant going through on the waterways and sipping wine and nibbling on local cheeses with a running commentary from our lovely guides. Must do this if you are heading to the town for the first time.

Very enjoyable trip - Really enjoyed the trip and it's worth 5 stars. Lots of cheese on the plate and generous with refilling the wine glass. The guide was amusing and informative. It was good to see Amsterdam from the canals. It would have been helpful to have more specific directions to where to find the boat. There are lots of berths and lots of companies providing similar trips.

Recommendable guided tour with treats - I had booked a canal cruise with cheese and wine, some onboard had just booked the cruise, and we received bracelets to differentiate who had what booking 'class'. Those of us having booked cheese and wine got the option of refill/additional cheese during the cruise. The service was kind and timely ensuring all got what was booked. The cruise started a little late due to the recently started Amsterdam lights festival, however the trip prioritized other canals to prevent cruiseing in line with most of the other boats. A local guide, Ellen, shared some history and fun facts when all had got their drinks and cheese, opening up to engage us, the passengers, in some Q&A. Good service, I appreciated both the gouda and red wine, but perhaps the most the personal guiding. The skipper did his job taking us safely for a round trip. We sat 'indoors' behind plastic window coverings which gave not as good view if wanting to take pictures, but since it was late evening, I guess the warmer temperature was prioritized. Recommendable smaller cruise.

Evening cruise - Great hosts very knowledgeable, standard quality drinks and cheese as expected but frequently topped up (unlimited), would definitely recommend!

Attention to the location of the meeting - We were given an appointment for boarding at 11am in front of the house of Anne Franck and no boat!! After a complicated phone call, we were given another place! But the boat was already gone. Finally we took the next boat. Egg but it ruined us a bit in the morning...

Please put the right address and company name on the tickets! - The email with the tickets does not tell you the correct location. Also the name of the company was Voyager and no boats are named that. We had to run around the leaving point and ask multiple ships if they knew where ours was. Ultimately it was a group called flagship. Unfortunately we found it 2 min late and it left without us. They did book us on the next ship which was uncovered and we didn’t get unlimited cheese that we’d paid for. At the end of the day the tour was enjoyable and the guide was nice and informative but Viator could do a much better job of showing where the starting point is. The address on the ticket brought us to the wrong place.
